As Southwark Foodbank Administrator, you will provide administrative support to the Foodbank project. Supporting the Foodbank and Deputy Foodbank manager in administrative tasks. Maintaining databases and spreadsheets. Thanking our donors. Managing mail outs to donors, suppliers, and supporters. Some social media input. Managing our volunteer system and communicating with volunteers. Occasionally helping with a Foodbank session.

  • Have administrative experience
  • Can work with spreadsheets and databases, Word, Mail Merge
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Have experience of the food insecurity sector

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Answer calls and deal with clients, supporters and volunteers
  • Maintaining databases and spreadsheets
  • Sending mail outs for Harvest and Christmas
  • Co-ordinating and supervising volunteers

 

Key Requirements (specific skills, qualifications required):

  • Good computer skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good team worker
  • Able to supervise and manage volunteers

 

Desirable knowledge/expertise

  • Experience of the voluntary or community sector
  • Experience of working with disadvantaged groups
  • Experience of dealing with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures
  • Understanding and experience of a range of Christian traditions and denominations and ability to relate well to all
