SE15, London
Voluntary
Job description

Pecan is a highly respected and dynamic Christian charity. We have been working throughout Southwark for 30 years, helping people who face seemingly impassable barriers to find a way through, re-write their futures and flourish. Our strong staff and volunteer team work with the most vulnerable people to transform lives and communities. Our work is founded on our mission, vision and values, and we are committed to showing kindness, raising self-belief and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we serve.

Pecan currently has seven Trustees, two of whom have stated their intention to stand down in the next six months. We are therefore seeking to replace our retiring trustees and grow our number to eight or nine to help spread the responsibilities and add your experience and insight to our goal of enabling people to positively contribute to society.

  • Are you a committed Christian?
  • Do you have the skills and passion required to steer our strategic direction?
  • Do you have business acumen or are you social media savvy?
  • Are you familiar with the Southwark community or have you experienced Pecan's services?

This role is unrenumerated although reasonable travel expenses will be paid.

To apply: please send your CV and 2-page Cover Letter detailing how you meet the Person Specification.

Closing date: Monday 10th February, 9am

Interview date: 17th - 28th February
