Job description

Pembroke College seeks to appoint a Painter/Decorator/Multi-Trade Tradesperson to work in the College’s busy Maintenance Department.

Painter / Decorator / Multi-Trade Tradesperson
Pembroke College – Cambridge
Salary: £23,067 (USS .29) – £25,941 (USS .33)
This is a full-time post working 37 hours per week.

The post-holder will be part of a small multi trades team, working to carry out internal and external decorating works, to maintenance and improvement College properties in an efficient manner having due regard for the nature of the buildings and occupants and visitors alike.

The post-holder should enjoy working in a dynamic environment where they will be expected to display initiative and enthusiasm. You will be expected to plan and undertake work to a high standard in the most efficient manner.

The ideal candidate will have extensive and suitable, relevant painting and decorating knowledge and a minimum of three years practical experience with a relevant qualification. The successful candidate is physically fit and able to work as part of a team and on their own with minimal of supervision. They will also be required to be adaptable and willing to undertake a variety of tasks across carpentry, labouring, plumbing and electrical disciplines with appropriate support where required, within given time scales.
