Job description

Berkshire College of Agriculture (BCA) is an ambitious and successful provider of skills-based, further and higher education. To enable the College’s continued success they require a dynamic and aspirant finance department leader to deputise for the Finance Director; someone who can demonstrate a proactive response to professional challenges and is eager to work in a fast-paced and supportive environment.

The Assistant Finance Director will need to be professionally qualified and highly experienced in providing leadership to teams with expert knowledge of digital finance systems for purchase, sales and nominal ledger.

So as to ensure continued, effective oversight and control of the College finances, the person appointed will be experienced in the preparation and reporting of management accounts and reports, with detailed knowledge of accounting standards and best practice.

Whilst experience of working in a further education/education setting is desirable, the College is happy to consider candidates with wider commercial finance experience gained from a range of other sectors. As a supportive organisation focused on the development of both students and staff, comprehensive support will be offered to the appointed person throughout their first annual cycle of business.
