In 2016, we successfully closed a comprehensive fundraising campaign two years early - surpassing our original target of £100m by over 25%. Building on this success, we are now preparing to launch our new school-wide fundraising campaign in support of our world-class faculty, research, learning facilities and diverse student community.
The newly created position of Associate Director of Marketing and Communications - Advancement, will business partner with our Advancement division, supporting us with our fundraising efforts and our communications with our alumni community. You will develop our marketing and communications strategy to support our next fundraising campaign, ensuring consistency in our brand and messaging to our alumni audience. We generate research and ideas that have a real, lasting influence on people, businesses and markets around the world. We need the talent, tools and environment to share our thinking globally. In this role, you will reach our alumni audience and keep them engaged with our community.
You will come with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant subject area, with an understanding of and experience in fundraising in charity and/or higher education. You will be an established communications planner, coming with outstanding relationship building skills, as well as strategic planning skills and project management experience. Leadership, influencing and negotiating skills and the ability to identify, analyse and effectively use marketing information will be equally important. You will also have experience in allocating, managing and controlling budgets.
