About the role
The Philanthropy Team at Unicef UK sits within the Partnerships & Philanthropy Directorate. It has built a significant track record of raising income from major philanthropists and HNWI’s based in the UK. Having recently recruited a new Director of Philanthropy, the team is implementing an ambitious three-year strategy for transformational income growth to support the vital work of Unicef across the world.
A Global Guardian is a philanthropist who commits to make a significant donation of at least £5,000 annually, for three years. These donations are directed to wherever the need is greatest for children. Support from Global Guardians enables Unicef to improve health, nutrition, water, sanitation and education for children in many of the world’s poorest countries.
Who we're looking for
The Global Guardians Manager will grow the Global Guardian Programme through maximising unrestricted income and support for Unicef’s work for children. Building on a strong foundation of best practice donor management, you will proactively source, cultivate, ask and steward high value relationships. This role will require you to work closely with the Philanthropy Team Lead, resource hub, Prospect Researcher and the Director of Philanthropy.
A successful candidate will have experience of developing and managing quality relationships with high value individuals, successfully asking face to face for significant financial support. Candidates with an experience of developing successful membership schemes or ’Friends of’ networks are also encouraged to apply.
For more information and to apply, please visit the job page on Peridot Partners' website via the application method.
We particularly welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, candidates with disabilities, and from men, because we would like to increase the representation of these groups at this level at Unicef UK. We want to do this because we know greater diversity will lead to even greater results for children.
