Job description

World Vision UK are recruiting 2 Senior Philanthropy Managers to join their growing team as they embark on a new chapter of relationship fundraising. For these exciting newly created roles we are seeking experienced Major Donor fundraisers who will execute a well-researched and supported philanthropy strategy leading to high value multi-year support.

About the Role

These senior role plays a critical role in generating, building and leading new networks, relationships, and opportunities to significantly grow philanthropic income to achieve greater impact for children.

The role holder will focus on new business development, obtaining seven figure gifts through the highest levels of donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship to secure transformational support for World Vision’s programming across the globe.

The role will explore, grow and lead relationship-led approaches to new business including peer to peer fundraising, seeking opportunities to network and attend events, and developing creative and inspiring global propositions which will engage new philanthropists at the highest level.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking experienced philanthropy managers who have operated at a senior level working with High Net-worth individuals.

Suitable candidates will have extensive implementation experience of the principles of major gift fundraising to include identification, research, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and recognition, or equivalent experience in managing a strong opportunity/sales pipeline delivering successful outcomes.

We are looking for candidates who have a demonstrable track record of securing five and six figure major donor gifts or delivering significant financial results against agreed targets and timescales.

An entrepreneurial spirit and creative mind-set are attributes that will lead to success in these positions.

These roles do not have an organisational requirement of being an active Christian, although an appreciation, understanding and willingness to work in an environment with the values of the Christian faith at its core would be desirable.
