About the role
Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.
You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).
The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team. Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.
If you think you have the skills, qualities and drive to fulfil this role, but don’t meet all of the specifications, or perhaps you’ve gained your experience in (for example) commercial sales or within relationships management and are looking to move into development work, we would still welcome hearing from you. This important role will represent FareShare Sussex & Surrey engaging with corporate partners and key stakeholders such as council leaders, politicians and dignitaries across the region.

We’re looking for a creative and confident Content & Communications Coordinator to join our busy Marketing & Communications Team at Imperial College Union. This new role will be key in strengthening our online presence and improving student engagement with the Union. The successful candidate will manage our social media channels and content to drive two-way conversations, to increase awareness of the Union’s work, and help us better understand what they care about.
You will be our in-house journalist; planning and delivering content that speaks to our varied audiences. You’ll build strong relationships across the Union and College, writing creative copy and curating innovative social media content. Using your in-depth knowledge of social media, you will be aware of emerging trends across all platforms and create content that attracts and retains the interest and attention of our members. Duties and responsibilities
Content Planning

The Role
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the leadership team of a specialist charity for children and adults subjected to sexual violence and sexual abuse. You will be responsible for supporting the Chief Executive in meeting strategic objectives surrounding the provision of compassionate, timely and trauma-informed CYP counselling and wellbeing support; establishing and nurturing supportive relationships with partner CYP organisations; supporting the team in collective care to grow, flourish and develop in their roles and continue leading the charity as a reflective and responsive organisation. Your role will also involve impact and evaluation, communications and operations.
You will lead in the safe delivery, strategic direction and development of the trauma-informed CYP counselling and wellbeing services. You will support the Chief Executive and work closely with Heads of Services to implement the strategic direction of the organisation, manage operations, strengthen sustainability and to continuously improve the effectiveness and impact for the CYP we support.
This position offers an established role in a leading specialist rape and sexual abuse support charity and value-led, relational and strategic service provision to help the charity achieve the CYP service mission
About You
You will be a experienced and relational leader with the ability to oversee the counselling service, with previous experience of shaping trauma-informed CYP services, therapeutically supporting CYP and leading individuals with a relational approach, this role could be for you. You will also need to show how you will live the charity’s big-hearted, bold, believing and trauma-informed values through this role.

The Senior Grants Officer (Business Development) will join ClientEarth’s thriving and growing Business Development team. Fundraising is critical to delivering our mission and ensuring we can support as many children and young people facing disadvantage to open doors to their future. The Philanthropy Team as a whole has a combined target income for the current year (2023-24) of £1.83 million (growing to £2.35m as our target for next year), of which approximately £850k is from corporate donors and their foundations, £100k is from individuals, and the remaining from trusts and foundations. CARA (Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse) works with victims and survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse, providing independent, specialist support and promoting and representing their rights and needs.
CARA's vision is of a world without sexual violence and child sexual abuse. As a step towards this vision, we do all we can to create a culture where victims and survivors are believed, supported and treated with fairness and respect.
CARA is a registered charity working with adults, young people and children from across mid and north Essex. We have a head office in Colchester and outreach premises in Braintree, Chelmsford, Clacton-on-Sea, Great Dunmow and Harwich. We also provide remote services.
CARA currently employs 39 full and part-time staff and has an annual income of approximately £1.6 million.

About Synergy Essex
CARA is part of Synergy Essex – the Essex Rape and Sexual Abuse Partnership. We work with SERICC Rape and Sexual Abuse Specialist Service and Southend-on-Sea Rape Crisis (SOS Rape Crisis) to deliver the contract for the Office for the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC) for Essex for services for victims and survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse across Essex, Southend and Thurrock. Synergy Essex also shares a number of other projects, funded by the Ministry of Justice, Essex County Council and the National Lottery Community Fund.
Our current PFCC contract ends in March 2025. Synergy Essex intends to submit a bid for the new contract, which is expected to be put out to tender in the summer of 2024.

Key Responsibilities
- First and foremost, this is a sales role. So, we’ll need you to demonstrate a track-record of meeting and exceeding revenue targets.
- You’ll be able to demonstrate an ability to work autonomously without intensive supervision.
- You’ll be able to demonstrate the ability to define and action a go-to-market plan.
- Naturally, we expect first-class demonstrable sales-skills including the ability to:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities including new markets, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
- Develop a pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Negotiate and close deals with a seven-figure value.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners, ensuring their needs are met andexceeded.
- Provide detailed reports on business development activities, including market analysis, sales forecasts, and revenue projections
- Collaborate with the National Partnerships Director, Service Delivery Director, National Contracts Manager, Digital Services Manager, and other key colleagues to ensure the smooth implementation of new contracts.
- Deputise for the National Partnerships Director at Executive Leadership meetings
- Represent Relate at a range of events to promote the brand and the service offer.
- Contribute to annual budget and strategic planning cycles.
- Stay abreast of industry changes and competitive landscape to adjust strategies accordingly.
Education and Training
- Experience and formal training in a recognised Sales Methodology e.g. MEDDPICC, SPIN, Sandler
- BA Hons (desirable)
Demonstrable Experience and Knowledge
- Substantial proven experience in business development, b2b sales, or a similar role, in the service and/or not for profit sector
- Track record of securing seven-figure contracts.
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Proven experience of cultivating and sustaining strong partner relationships in a range of settings.
- Understanding of market drivers in the EAP/staff benefits sector.
- Strong track record of achieving or exceeding income targets.

Terms of Appointment
- Permanent position
- Full time, 35 hours per week (some evening/weekend work may be required)
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and 3 days over Christmas period
- c£55,000 oer annum salary
