Job description

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to kick-start your career with a leading Substance Misuse charity that provides support within the community to Offenders with Complex and Additional Needs. Working within a small dynamic team you will receive intensive support and training whilst giving you the chance to work with clients and gain on-the-job experience. Our client base all have a history of offending behaviour and may also suffer with drug or alcohol addiction, mental health issues, learning disabilities or a combination of all three. Our role is support them in making changes to their lives to support a reduction in their offending behaviour.

As a Trainee Recovery Coordinator working with the Full Circle Service based in Mid Essex, you will work with a small caseload of clients to ensure they are introduced to partner agencies to support them to make positive and effective lifestyle changes. Part of your role may include accompanying clients to appointments, advocating on their behalf, signposting to partner agencies, supporting to claim benefits or to make homeless applications. You will have the opportunity to shadow colleagues from other services to widen your knowledge of substance misuse, mental health and the criminal justice system.
