Direct Reports: two Senior Project Managers and four Project Managers

Location: London (currently home-based due to Covid-19 – but when circumstances allow working out of our London office according to our Flexible Working Policy – up to 3 days/week can be home-based)

Can you manage a portfolio of high quality services for charities?

Pilotlight is a social enterprise which tackles disadvantage by facilitating and promoting the sharing of professional skills to help charities help people. In partnership with businesses and members (Pilotlighters) our services offer charities and social enterprises access to pro bono organisational development and the strategic support they need to become more efficient and effective. The charities and social enterprises we work with develop their strategic knowhow, strengthen their organisations and, ultimately, increase their impact. In 2021 we will support over 150 charities and social enterprises – working on a diverse range of social issues such as homelessness, domestic violence, mental health, education and youth work and support services for the elderly - using the skills of over 500 Pilotlighters.  

The Head of Delivery will be responsible for the successful planning and delivery of Pilotlight’s programme offering for participating charity partners and Pilotlighters. You will lead and manage the delivery team to achieve our delivery goals and quality targets in an efficient and effective way, driving impact for participating charity partners. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive, you will be a Leadership Team member, contributing to the effective leadership and management of Pilotlight at a pivotal moment for our development.

The selected candidate will be a highly organised and confident people manager with demonstrable experience of leading high performing teams. You will have excellent programme planning and management skills and be an effective communicator capable of developing successful relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Finally, you will have working knowledge of the charity sector, be a collaborative, consultative professional keen to see your programme and people management skills impact many lives and communities.
