Job description

Are you an expert brand strategist, ready to use your planning skills to create a fairer, more equal world for girls?

Do you have a passion for insight-led marketing and storytelling?

If so, we want to hear from you!

Plan International UK is a global children’s charity. We strive to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we're tackling the root causes of gender inequality and child poverty, and we are now active in more than 70 countries worldwide.

We’re looking for an experienced Brand Planner to join our dynamic Brand and Digital Engagement team to help Plan International UK to create powerful brand communications and insight-led strategies that help tell our story, drive action and transform the world for girls.

Working with colleagues across our communications, public fundraising and campaigning teams, you’ll provide expert brand leadership to help Plan International UK understand and articulate its unique brand proposition, values and core messages, and the audiences we need to reach to achieve impact.

With passion for and experience in communications planning, you’ll develop effective processes to review, plan and prioritise activities, events and messages from across the organisation to create integrated communications calendars and messaging frameworks, and manage insight-led integrated marketing strategies that reach and engage our target audiences.

You’ll be an experienced brand strategist, with proven success in planning and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns, stewarding high profile brands and implementing brand strategies. We welcome experience from inside or outside the charity sector and also client or relevant agency backgrounds. You’ll have an eye for detail in managing a brand’s identity and creating effective guidelines to help colleagues implement this. Exceptional inter-personal and consultative skills, and a proven ability to work collaboratively to influence, negotiate and secure buy-in are key to the success of this role.

If you’re ready to take on one of the most exciting, growing charity brands in the UK, we want to hear from you.

The deadline for applications is 9:00am on 1 October August 2021.

Interviews will take place on 6 October 2021.

We are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children, young people and adults in our work.  We, therefore, apply rigorous recruitment and selection processes to ensure that only those who are suitable are recruited to work for us.  Accordingly, appointment to all our roles is subject to a range of vetting checks. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working for us; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences

Plan International UK is committed to being an inclusive employer and we welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds
