Job description

Plan International UK is a global children’s charity. We strive to advance children’s rights and equality for girls all over the world.

Working together with children, young people, our supporters and partners, we're tackling the root causes of gender inequality and child poverty, and we are now active in more than 70 countries worldwide.

We’re looking for Website Optimisation Officer to join our dynamic Brand and Digital Engagement team. This is an exciting time to join Plan International UK, as we embark on an ambitious new website project. We will be relying on CRO (conversion rate optimisation) tests to provide clarity on what is working on our current site and what needs to change. The Website Optimisation Officer will be responsible for content development on the current Plan International UK website, delivery of the organisation’s CRO strategy and implementing the CRO testing plan for the new website.

You will be experienced in using Content Management Systems (particularly Drupal) and have knowledge of web technologies including JavaScript, HTML and CSS as well as working with web analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) and extracting data to form reports and actionable insights.

You will be comfortable writing, editing and creating audience-led content, and enjoy ensuring our content is on brand and created with SEO best practice front of mind. You will also ensure good practice in user journey creation and user-centred design, and you’ll have working knowledge of research tools, e.g. HotJar, CrazyEgg.

If you are looking for an exciting, fast paced role in a passionate and value-led team, we would love to hear from you.

Please click on the button below to apply.

The deadline for applications is 10:00am on 29 October 2021.

We are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children, young people and adults in our work.  We, therefore, apply rigorous recruitment and selection processes to ensure that only those who are suitable are recruited to work for us.  Accordingly, appointment to all our roles is subject to a range of vetting checks. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working for us; this will depend on the circumstances of any offences.

Plan International UK is committed to being an inclusive employer and we welcome applications from candidates from all backgrounds.
