We are transforming our approach to Finance across Plan International developing its impact, effectiveness and how it enables us to be a financially sustainable, commercially astute INGO, in an increasingly challenging economic and sector landscape. This exciting high-profile role is fundamental enabling us to provide insightful strategic financial analysis to ensure decisions are made at all levels in Plan that are evidence based, value for money and align our resources to delivering our strategic goals and objective with maximum impact. As part a key member of our new Analyst Cadre this role is also key in building analytical capacity across Plan, both within the Finance communities and beyond.
In this role as the Head of Strategic Financial Planning and Analysis you will support the Director Financial Initiatives and Executive Director of Finance and IT in the Global Hub (GH) providing strategic financial insights and analysis to support initiatives to strengthen financial performance across the global organisation. You will particularly support initiatives and opportunities that strengthen financial sustainability across more than 50 programme countries and 20 National Organisations which are the independent members of Plan, as well as the GH. Working closely with team members in the Financial Planning and Analysis department the Strategy team and Legal and Governance
The ideal candidate will hold relevant financial qualifications (ICAEW/CIMA/ACCA/MBA/Masters/PHD) with specific Economics/Statistics experience at group level in an international organization across multiple countries, preferably with understanding of Development/Humanitarian Funding Models and political dynamics. Experience of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance investment appraisal and strategic planning would be advantageous.
You will have excellent analytical skills, with a passion for data-driven, evidence-based decision-making to enable strategic frameworks and models to draw up trends, conclusions, recommendations.
A strong, impact-focussed project manager, with excellent as well as diverse stakeholder management skills.
Some occasional international travel to programme countries may be required.
