POhWER is embarking on an exciting multi-year journey to ensure the Charity is a fully inclusive environment in which staff, volunteers and beneficiaries are treated equally and with dignity.
This newly created role reporting into POhWER’s People Director will support and promote the development of the Charity’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy and action plans in line with Equality and Social Justice objectives. Provide advice, support and guidance on EDI matters internally and externally for the Charity. Identify actions to promote ‘a level playing field’ for our staff, volunteers and beneficiaries. Lead a programme implementing changes within POhWER to ensure process, policy, targets and skills development promote EDI.
We are looking for someone who has a demonstrable track record working as a professional within EDI or Social Justice professional capacity but would also consider candidates with transferable skills.
The role is being offered initially as a 12-month fixed term secondment with a potential future opportunity for extension subject to funding availability and individual performance in the role.
