As our Health and Safety Compliance Specialist you will support Scope’s Health and Safety processes in maintaining the highest standard of health and safety across our Retail and Corporate estate.
The main responsibilities of the role will be to work with internal colleagues and the Health and Safety Manager, undertaking key duties to support Scope’s Health and Safety function and compliance. These duties will include site visits and assessments, reporting against health and safety key performance indicators, and investigation into accidents or near misses as appropriate.
Permanent - part time, 21 hours a week
Location: Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW and working at home some or most of the time (hybrid).

POP nurtures relationships between the grassroots, other VCSE organisations and the statutory sectors. We help to form, support and nurture networks across the city. Job Responsibilities
The General Manager is integral to the management of Deptford X and the delivery and development of its ambitious programmes. As Head of Insight, you will lead the development of the evidence and insight programme to inform our strategy and support our policy, public affairs and influencing work within the healthcare system. The programme includes developing a new dashboard, co-produced with people with lived experience, providing a visual representation of the impact that Crohn’s and Colitis has on people’s lives across health, education, employment and finances.
About you
You will have knowledge and awareness of the UK health environment and be experienced in using health data, research, evidence and insight to influence or communicate with stakeholders.
Although you will not be doing research yourself, you will be contracting agencies and researchers to commission pieces of work and gather data to support the charity in all its activities.

Womankind Worldwide is an international women’s rights organisation and funder, working with women’s rights groups and feminist movements across the world to end gender inequality.
We envision a world where all women, girls and people of all genders enjoy equal rights and freedoms and live with joy, choice and dignity.
We take collective action alongside women’s rights organisations, feminist movements and activists in Eastern and Southern Africa and South Asia. We support them to challenge inequality, at home, in communities and the workplace. We fund and strengthen these movements and advocate for change alongside them.
Currently, Womankind has staff based in Kenya and the UK. This position is located in the UK. While hybrid working arrangements are available, the successful applicant will be expected to spend 2-3 days per week working from Womankind’s London office (frequency to be agreed with successful candidate). Role Purpose
The intern will provide general support to the programmes and learning team, including with administration of programmes and grant compliance, partner communications, logistics and (online) event organisation. Reporting Structure
This role sits within the Programmes and Learning (P&L) team, which is part of the broader Policy, Programmes and Learning Team (PPL). The intern will provide support to colleagues across P&L and report to the Programme Management Officer, with a dotted line to the Programme Manager: Innovation and Partnerships.

As a Senior Policy & Advocacy Adviser you will work in the Education Team within the Global Policy, Advocacy and Research department.
Save the Children is partnering with the LEGO Foundation on an exciting new project to advocate for changes in policy, participation, and funding to improve the quality of instruction and wellbeing of teachers in refugee hosting communities in Kenya.
Your role will focus on advocacy on refugee education, including a focus on teachers and the education workforce. The role will require you to work closely with colleagues in our Kenya office, to both support advocacy at the national level, and to affect change on refugee education through global advocacy.
Our ideal candidate for this role would be someone who is a sharp strategic thinker, who understands how to make political and policy change happen across different contexts. You will have experience of working with partners to achieve national and global policy change, and have strong networking and relationship building skills. Experience of working in global education or humanitarian sectors is desirable.
In this role, you will:
- Design, lead and implement complex policy and advocacy strategies and products, to a high standard and with minimal supervision
- Identify global policy and research needs and influencing opportunities in your thematic area
- Represent the organisation externally including in high-level meetings and events and with donors and other key stakeholders, building relationships with external experts, partners and coalitions
- Write advocacy briefings, reports, externally published articles and blogs, as well as assist in the drafting of press releases, Q&As and opinion pieces

As a Senior Policy & Advocacy Adviser you will work in the Education Team within the Global Policy, Advocacy and Research department.
Your role will focus on advocacy on school safety and risk reduction in the education sector. Specifically, you will be working closely with colleagues at Save the Children and members of GADRRRES (Global Alliance for Disaster Risk Reduction & Resilience in the Education Sector) to promote the global implementation of the Comprehensive School Safety Framework (CSSF). This is an important time for this area of work, as the revised CSSF was launched in September 2022, and as the education sector contends with the increasing risks posed by climate change, health pandemics, and conflict. This project is being delivered in partnership with Prudence Foundation, who have partnered with Save the Children to promote school safety and resilience at the national, regional and global level. Our ideal candidate for this role would be someone who is a sharp strategic thinker, who understands how to make political and policy change happen across different contexts. You will have experience of working with partners through coalition, and have strong networking and relationship building skills. BBC Media Action is the BBC’s international development organisation. We believe in media and

This assignment is part of BBC Media Action’s ESARO Digital Engagement Strategy project, funded by
UNICEF. The aim of the project is to develop a Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) Regional Digital
Engagement Strategy for UNICEF related to youth-focused programmatic priorities in their Eastern and
Southern Africa Regional Office (ESARO). This Regional Digital Engagement Strategy will be developed to
be applicable across thematic areas of work, and, following the development of the draft strategy, it will
be operationalized in four selected countries in the region for a specific thematic area.
Objective
The overall aim of this assignment is to support the development of the Regional Digital Engagement
Strategy for the UNICEF ESARO region. The consultant would be responsible for bringing together the
complete draft regional strategy by engaging with BBC Media Action teams responsible for writing
different elements of the strategy and relevant UNICEF colleagues. The consultant will also be required
to conduct desk research and complete a review of relevant documentation to ensure the relevance and
applicability of the strategy to UNICEF’s practices and ways of working.
The consultant should be a specialist in digital engagement and have experience of developing SBC strategies. An understanding and experience of delivering similar work with UN organisations, in particular UNICEF, is desirable.
The specific objectives of the Regional Digital Engagement Strategy will be to contribute to:
•
an increased knowledge among UNICEF SBC and Programme teams, and their partners, of the variety of digital platforms and tools and social media channels that have been developed and deployed by UNICEF or third parties in the region;
•
an enhanced awareness among UNICEF SBC and Programme teams of successful digital engagement initiatives on the programme areas of interest and/or in terms of promoting civic engagement and youth participation;
•
an increased understanding of how UNICEF Country Offices and their partners can apply specific digital engagement approaches to an integrated intersectoral/multisectoral programming, independently or in combination with face-to-face methods, with a disaggregated analysis for reaching marginalised youth populations, including youth with disability;
•
an increased engagement with key influencers in the digital space (as per available social listening analytics) that can engage youth on specific programmatic actions;
•
an increased digital reach among youth ensuring that SBC can gather evidence-based data to measure the impact of digital initiatives towards L2E, SRH, HIV, HPV, VAC, mental health, and climate action outcomes.
Outputs
The consultant will work with other members of the BBC Media Action team to deliver the following outputs over the course of their assignment:
1)
Writing specific areas of the strategy focused on Digital Engagement Interventions (by 3rd May 2024): The consultant will conduct a review of existing documentation and use their digital engagement and SBC expertise and experience to write areas of the strategy within the Developing Digital Engagement Interventions for SBC strategy section. Review of documents will be coupled with participation in sessions with UNICEF and BBC Media Action colleagues, including the Regional Theory of Change sessions, to enable the consultant to lead on writing certain areas of the strategy, including but not limited to understanding digital users, approach to communication, content production and pilot testing.
2)
Delivering complete draft strategy (by 10th May 2024): The consultant will bring together all strategy inputs (from other members of the BBC Media Action team and sections written themselves) to deliver a holistic and comprehensive final output. This will include reviewing draft inputs of all sections of the strategy, from other team members, ensuring consistency in writing style, language and approach throughout, as well as leading on the writing of the introduction and summary.
