SpecialEffect is a charity that works with anyone in the UK of any age who would like to play a specific video game but is prevented from doing so primarily by a physical disability, whether as a result of a disability, traumatic injury or debilitating illness.
Fundraising is critical to the success of SpecialEffect and their ability to meet the needs of more people across the UK. The Fundraising Events Coordinator will play a key role within SpecialEffect’s Fundraising and Communications team, with responsibility for a growing programme of events taking place across the UK. Working closely with the rest of the team, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the fundraising events programme, to include the charities own events and campaigns, as well as third party races and challenges. You will be responsible for developing the range of fundraising opportunities on offer, as well as increasing participant numbers and ensuring a smooth supporter sign-up journey.
If you are flexible, organised with a ‘can do’ attitude, previous experience of co-ordinating events and an interest in gaming and technology then get in touch for the chance to join this awesome and inspiring charity.
