Our Practitioner Led Assessment Service is the entry point for our beneficiaries seeking support from the Charity. Our Assessment Practitioners work in partnership with our beneficiaries to identify goals, individual needs and appropriate solutions.

The team provide advice, information and support and work collaboratively with the multi-professional team to ensure our beneficiaries are offered the right support at the right time.

Reporting into the Beneficiary Experience and Continuity Lead you will be responsible for day-to-day management of the practitioner led assessment service, holding a small case load and reviewing and resolving complex cases with the team. 

You will work collaboratively with key stakeholders across health improvement and rehabilitation services, to ensure services are integrated, person centred, outcome focused and based on an ethos of recovery.

About You

• Develop the project plan and ensure that the right governance structure for project management is in place and RSPB internal project management practices are followed, so that the project stays on track, comes in on budget and risks are identified, escalated, and managed within tolerances.

• Lead on developing ways to evaluate and measure the impact of the project, including engaging with those prescribing and local communities to gather stories and case studies that demonstrate the benefits to wellbeing and connectedness to nature.
• Build internal relationships with RSPB employees and volunteers working with nature prescribing and nature and wellbeing across the UK.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience of working within or alongside the health and wellbeing sector.
• Project management experience with experience of leading on and developing and delivering projects with diverse communities.

• Experience in delivering workshops or training, ideally with a co-design element.

Roots to Wellbeing project aims:

• Provide a safe and inclusive space for participants to receive weekly support.
• Help participants to connect with nature and socialise with others to feel happier, less anxious and less isolated.
• Support participants to access other beneficial services, where appropriate, including health, social and financial.
• Support participants to move onto outdoor work or volunteering with friends of groups where appropriate.
• Facilitate a positive journey through the service for participants to ensure as many people as possible can access the service.

The role 

The roles has four main areas of work:

1. Leadership and management:

• Lead the Roots to Wellbeing team to reach its goals. 
• Line manage and support three Mental Health Officers, each delivering Roots to Wellbeing on one site.
• Work with local communities and other team members to explore new opportunities for the project and develop solutions.
• Work with CEO and Head of Fundraising to secure funding for project development.

2. Project management: 

• Oversee the delivery and development of the project to meet key KPIs.
• Collate qualitative and quantitative data and produce impact reports for funders. 
• Support team to ensure administrative records are kept up to date, including but not limited to: maintaining accurate participant records, work programme, incident reporting, risk management, external outreach, website.
• Develop a thorough communications strategy and build on current local referral relationships to further embed the programme within the VCSE & Health sector.
• Ensure service standard and quality is consistent across sites and policies and procedures are followed. 
• Recruit and induct volunteers to support session delivery.
• Work in partnership with stakeholders within and across the organisation to deliver project goals.
• Attend networking meetings and community events to raise awareness of the project and demonstrate its impact. 

3. Session delivery at Hartcliffe Millennium Green: 

• Continually build and maintain relationships with local referral partners to achieve a consistent referral rate into the project. 
• Deliver weekly Roots to Wellbeing sessions by; planning and facilitating delivery of sessions and activities in line with 5 pathways to nature connectedness and that are accessible to all participants, organising logistics of sessions such as travel, food and equipment, acting as safeguarding lead during sessions, liaising with co-facilitator, leading peer-support style check in at the beginning of the sessions and the grounding and meditation at the end.
• Lead on all direct communication with participants at Hartcliffe Millennium Green. Support them to create personalised development plans, signposting and referrals where needed. 

4. Other: 

• Support the work of the wider charity and specifically the South Bristol team as required. 
• Representing the charity externally through media work and presentation where necessary.

The Junction is an out of hours “calming café” service which is open 365 days of the year to support people experiencing pre and/or mental health crisis. The aim of the project is to alleviate the need for people within the Swindon locality to access A&E and/or acute mental health services.

The Health IDVA will work within a dynamic, fast paced, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service embedded within the hospital to ensure all staff are aware of Domestic Abuse, and equipped to ask the right questions and encourage both patients and staff to engage with the support the Health IDVA will bring to this environment.

The post holder will assist health practitioners to respond more effectively to domestic abuse, particularly those with complex and multiple needs, and will bring specialist knowledge and skills in empowering clients to seek the right support,  and move forward.

The work will include providing specialist knowledge and expertise to other health care practitioners to ensure victims of domestic abuse (and their children) are safeguarded from further harm, to provide a strong partnership approach to service provision.

Priority will be given to medium and high risk cases that are employees and patients of RDUH – those who do not live in Exeter to be sign-posted to specialist support within FearFree Devon (excluding Torbay and Plymouth). 

Key elements of the role include:  

• To work with all victims of abuse (male or female) that have health related needs in the Exeter area.
• Providing priority support to both patients and staff at the hospital.
• Delivering Domestic Abuse training to all staff at the hospital equipping them to recognise all forms of Domestic Abuse and ensuring they are confident in starting those conversations.
• Risk assessing and helping to keep service users safe through safety planning.
• Enabling victims to access and engage with statutory and other services.
• Engaging with and supporting the MARAC process, to ensure that the voice of victims is heard.

The Charity

The Youth Adventure Trust is a youth development charity working with vulnerable young people aged 11 to 16 years old from Wiltshire and Swindon. Our outdoor activity based YAT Adventure Programme enables young people to challenge themselves, experience success, learn to go beyond their own expectations and grow in confidence. Through a series of residential camps and day activities they are able to build resilience, self esteem and develop social and life skills. The YAT Resilience Programme works to the same outcomes through a year long programme of monthly activities, home-based challenges and reflective practice. Our Mentoring Programme works with those young people in need of some additional individualised support at the end of our other programmes. The Trust’s Bursary Programme is open to all those young people who have completed an initial programme, in order to assist their next steps into further activities. Our aim is to make a lasting improvement to the lives of vulnerable young people. All our services are provided completely free of charge to the young people who are nominated by schools and other youth organisations to take part. 

The Role

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated Adventure Programme Support Manager to support both young people and volunteers on our Adventure Programme. Working alongside the Programme Managers you will act in a support function across the activity days and camps, and be involved in direct one to one support for young people. You will also work alongside the Volunteering Lead to recruit, manage and support the volunteers who are front and centre of ensuring our young people’s positive experiences and outcomes. This is a diverse role with the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people both through direct work and supporting the wider team.

Programme Support

This aspect of the role includes;

• Attending residential camps and activity days throughout the year, assisting with organising and delivering the Adventure Programme.

• Ensuring the highest standards of support, safety and safeguarding across the programme and all aspects of the Youth Adventure Trust’s work.

• Carrying out direct work with young people to help support their needs and fulfil the Youth Adventure Trust’s aims.

• Supporting work with the young people’s families to promote full attendance, effective participation and ensure they have all the information they require.

• Supporting work with our referral partners to ensure they have an excellent understanding, relationship and experience with the Youth Adventure Trust.

• Contributing to ongoing feedback to young people, parents, carers and schools.

• Supporting the effective monitoring of the programme and measurement of young people’s developmental outcomes.

• Working with the Programme Managers to support young people moving on to the Mentoring Programme, and promoting take up of the Bursary Programme. 

• Supporting the development of further opportunities for young people both during and after their YAT journey. 

• Assisting the day-to-day administration and management of the programme. This may include maintaining a database, producing written communications and reports, information leaflets, website updates, budget monitoring, booking and negotiating with providers, and an array of detailed record keeping.

• Creating website and social media content to highlight and  promote YAT’s work. 

Volunteer Management 

Volunteers are critical to the success of our programme for vulnerable young people; recruiting, supporting and developing capable, skilled, empathetic, engaging and committed volunteers is essential to the impact of our work.

This aspect of the role includes;

• Promoting volunteering opportunities and recruiting new volunteers to the organisation to ensure needs are met.

• Acting as a key point of contact for volunteers, maintaining communication and engagement with the charity.

• Administering all aspects of a volunteer’s involvement with the Trust, including completing the relevant checks and references, record keeping and database maintenance. 

• Organising, preparing and information sharing with volunteers to ensure they are ready to fulfil their role. 

• Supporting volunteers in their role on our Adventure Programme, facilitating opportunities for informal supervision and debriefing. Our volunteers work tirelessly to ensure the young people get as much as possible from their time with the Youth Adventure Trust, and often deal with challenging and impactful situations.

• Developing and coaching volunteers in their role through working alongside them as they support young people on our Adventure Programme residential camps and day activities. 

• Creating and delivering training opportunities for new and existing volunteers.

• Creating website, newsletter and social media content to promote volunteering and engagement with the charity. 

• Supporting our Volunteer Committee in their functions which include organising awareness raising and social events.

• Developing opportunities for a diverse portfolio of  volunteering roles within the organisation. 

• Supporting the fundraising team through providing feedback, reports or event support.

Across the role you will;

• Be involved in sector networking and awareness raising on behalf of the Trust.

• Act as an ambassador for the Youth Adventure Trust at all times.

The post is subject to a six months’ probationary period.

The Candidate

To be up to the challenge you’ll need an excellent understanding and a proven track record of relevant experience working with vulnerable and challenging young people. You’ll need demonstrable skills at building effective relationships with young people, parents/carers, and professional organisations. In addition, you’ll need an excellent understanding of volunteering and relevant experience working with and managing volunteers. You’ll need strong influencing and motivational skills; the capacity to get the best out of people and confidently deal with issues. You’ll be an excellent communicator, planner and problem solver, a strong team player and an exemplary role model.

We need someone with:- 

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.

• Relevant experience of working with young people aged 11 - 14 years old, preferably in a residential environment as well as outside of this.

• Relevant experience of working with volunteers in the Third Sector, including recruiting, supporting and managing volunteers.

• Knowledge of volunteering issues and legal requirements.

• Experience of delivering training and strong facilitation skills.

• Experience in working in partnership with other professional organisations.

• Strong team skills with the ability to motivate and support a wide range of people.

• Self-motivation with the ability to work on their own initiative to plan and manage their workload.

• Strong IT skills including experience of MS Office, databases and social media.

• Knowledge of marketing and promotion, with an ability to use those skills to promote opportunities effectively.

• Excellent administrative skills and a methodical and thorough approach.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to perform well and problem solve in high-stress and changing situations.  Ability to be flexible and dynamic in approach.

• A positive attitude, high energy and enthusiasm for the work of the Youth Adventure Trust. A personal interest in and an understanding of the positive impact outdoor adventure, especially for vulnerable young people, and a desire to help inspire young lives.

In addition:-

• The ability to work flexible hours including occasional evenings, weekends and a handful of residential trips as required is essential - if you are looking for a predictable Monday to Friday, 9-5, work environment throughout the year, this won’t be the right fit.

About the Role

The Kennet and Test Valley Methodist Circuit in North West Hampshire and West Berkshire offers a warm welcome to  visitors at any one of our six Churches where we worship in a variety of different styles. Our mission is to proclaim and reflect the love of God in all that we do.

We are looking for someone who has a passion and expertise for delivering care home ministry. The main focus of this role will be to work with us to continue developing a sustainable care home ministry. We have a desire to further extend our outreach into other care homes in the area from which it is anticipated there will be missional and development opportunities. There may also be further pastoral opportunities within the Newbury area.

This role is an important part of promoting our mission to Hungerford, Newbury & Thatcham and as such has a genuine occupational requirement that the post‑holder is a practising Christian (as outlined by 2010 Equality Act, Section 9).

About You

You should have a nationally recognised biblical, theological or practical mission qualification or equivalent experience evidenced for the role.

You should have the ability to demonstrate an awareness of pastoral issues affecting older people and the kinds of support that could be appropriate and an understanding of the Church’s work with mission amongst older people.

You should have proven experience of working in a pastoral context within a church or community groups in a paid or voluntary capacity in previous roles. This is an essential criteria.

You should have excellent people skills, good organisational ability and be adept at creative thinking.

The nature of this role necessitates being available for end of life spiritual care and therefore may require occasional out of hours work.

The post of Group Work Facilitator will provide support to victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence within group work provision.

At FearFree we run various trauma-informed groups for victims such as: Hope2Recovery, an educational domestic abuse online support group; Rediscovering You, a face-to-face emotional wellbeing recovery group; Inspiring Families, a ‘whole family’ approach to support; and a Living Skills group supporting those having to flee domestic abuse.

We are looking for experienced and motivated staff to join us to help deliver the group work programmes we run around locations in Wiltshire. Groups run in the morning, afternoon and evening. Training for the groups will be provided.

In addition to facilitating groups, staff will be asked to attend training events and meetings, including regular supervision.

This is a fixed term role until November 2025, with the potential to become permanent subject to funding.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• To facilitate group work provisions across the Wiltshire Service.
• Completing pre and post group assessments and required paperwork, following the procedures in place.
• Write comprehensive case notes following groups about service user involvement, any concerns raised and any action required.
• Identify and take the appropriate action on any disclosures or safeguarding concerns raised within the group.
• To work cohesively with a second facilitator both virtually and in person in locations around Wiltshire.
• A willingness and ability to travel around Wiltshire and access to a vehicle with business insurance.

Skills and Qualities 

• Experience of working with victims of domestic abuse or sexual violence or the willingness to increase knowledge and skills in this area.
• Experience of working with vulnerable people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience running groups, including listening skills, a good sense of timing, sensitivity to overall group dynamics, maintaining group safety and practical elements such as ensuring course material is delivered.
• A willingness to participate in in-house training, including group observation.

General

• Attend supervision as required.
• Attend and contribute to team meetings.
• Ensure service user records are kept up to date.
• Contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holidays and sickness.
• Undertake agreed training and keep updated on changes in legislation, policy and best practice.

As a Circles Coordinator you will make a real difference to preventing sexual abuse and sexual violence. This varied and rewarding role means working with people who have sexually harmed, a team of local volunteers and public protection colleagues. Join our dedicated regional team of 12 staff and 180 volunteers working towards the vision of ‘No More Victims’ of sexual abuse.

About Circles South West

We are an award winning independent charity providing services that prevent sexual re-offending by people who have sexually harmed, as well as support services for non-offending partners, family and friends impacted.  Our core service is Circles of Support and Accountability; a ‘Circle’ is a small group of local volunteers who assist the safe integration of an individual who has sexually harmed, meeting with them over a year or more. Working closely with responsible statutory agencies we provide a complementary risk management approach, making communities safer. Informed by our practice expertise, our training and consultancy for professionals is designed to enhance skills, knowledge and understanding in order that they can more effectively engage with people who sexually harm and contribute more widely to the prevention of sexual abuse.

About You

With experience of working with adults convicted of sexual offences, you understand how local communities can support risk management and be committed to the safe integration in the community of people who have sexually harmed. You will be skilled in the management and support of volunteers, the critical success factor for Circles. You will assess referrals, coordinate Circles, review progress and share relevant information with police and probation.
