We are looking for a new senior fundraiser to join our energetic team to raise major gifts for a range of posts, scholarships and other priorities across the Humanities. Oxford is the world’s leading university for humanities teaching and research. The University’s scholarship in languages, literature, history, philosophy, religion & the arts – from the earliest civilisation to the present day – enriches our understanding of humankind, and informs how we engage with historic issues and contemporary concerns.
About the Role
This fundraiser will work closely with senior academics in the Humanities Division. The post will focus primarily on funding for posts, scholarships and access and outreach in the academic faculties as well as securing support for the activities of the Cultural Programme and Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. An interest and appreciation for the arts and humanities is essential.
To Be Successful You’ll Need:
- To be an experienced development professional with a strong track record of securing major gifts and the ability to secure gifts in the range of £100k-£1m+
- Confidence to work with people from a range of backgrounds, both internally and externally
- The ability to think creatively in prospecting, cultivation and stewardship

As Projects Officer: Neighbourhood Food Model you will lead on specific projects within the wider Neighbourhood Food Model. Your role will be to grow collaborations, facilitate groups and workshops, and coordinate action. You will be building alliances with local food growers, chefs, researchers, council officers and residents to build a better local food system in Walworth.
The Walworth Neighbourhood Food Model is an ambitious, long-term approach to tackling the root causes of food insecurity in our neighbourhood. It offers a vision for a network of complementary spaces and initiatives, to build social connection through food, develop local supply chains, and transform the local food economy. This is a key role with a significant level of responsibility, working in a small dynamic team, at a crucial time in the development of this ambitious programme.
Responsible for: Planning, organising, recruiting, facilitating and documenting a range of groups and collaborations that aim to transform Walworth’s food system.
You will need to be dedicated and passionate about neighbourhood food, and able to inspire others. You will need to be adaptable and relish uncertainty, and you will be creative and enjoy problem solving. You will also enjoy bringing some order to things by finding the right level of detail at which to project plan, and find personal satisfaction in being organised with good record keeping.
Contract length: 12 months
Salary: £29,903.50 per year.

This role is not suitable for remote-working. The vast majority of the work requires you to be present for in-person meetings, activities, and events in the neighbourhood of Walworth, South London.
Hours of Work: Full time post: 5 days / 35 hrs per week, in person. (Full time availability is preferred, but 0.8 FTE may be considered)
Usual working week is Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, but this role requires some flexibility to work evenings or weekends to attend community meetings or events.

This combined Programme Manager, Facilitator role will be instrumental in raising awareness and developing skills in schools across Wales.
This post requires daily travel within South Wales.
The role will involve:
- A thorough understanding of the ready-made online resources to facilitate LifeSkills workshops, online and in person
- Creation and management of a deployment plan to achieve agreed targets for students and engagement of Barclays staff
- Maintaining systems for timely and accurate monitoring, evaluation and reporting of the effectiveness of the LifeSkills programme in line with contract requirements
- Sharing best practice and collaborating within and across BITC’s programme managers/facilitators in Scotland and Northern Ireland
The successful candidate will be:
- Managing the delivery of programmes to meet contractual obligations
- Working with business, schools and/or community organisations to create mutually beneficial and sustainable relationships
- Delivering highly engaging workshops which respond to learner needs and remain true to workshop objectives
The role requires travel across the region for programme delivery and participant interaction.
Salary:
The salary band for this role reflects the flexibility we offer with the contractual location. Candidates will be based at home and have personal transport to travel to schools across Wales. This role is 28 hours per week until 31 July 2025 with a full-time equivalent salary of £27,945 to £32,000 per annum (this will be prorated for part-time hours).
