Princess Alice Hospice
Esher, Surrey
£36,000 per year
Permanent, Full-time
Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join the fundraising team at Princess Alice Hospice. The individual will work closely with the Head of Legacies, Individual Giving and Supporter Care to develop and implement legacy and in memory giving strategies with the view to securing long term growth in both of these key income areas. They will have responsibility for managing legacy and in memory marketing activities; and will maximise the value of supporters through the delivery of excellent and engaging stewardship plans and supporter journeys.

Princess Alice Hospice provides excellent palliative and end of life care in our Hospice and in our community. We are seeking to nurture compassionate communities so that we are all better supported as we face death, dying, grief and loss. Our staff, volunteers and supporters are positive, passionate and professional.  We know we can’t prevent death, but we do everything we can to make it as good as possible.  Because above all, we believe that hospice care is for living.

Our aim is to have even greater impact, supporting more people affected by life limiting illness.  To achieve this, we need to grow our income and that’s where you come in.  It costs over £10.3m each year to provide our free, high quality care and as a charity, 78% of our income is generated by fundraising, our 45 retail shops, donations and legacies.

You will be flexible and results driven, with experience of working within either an in memory or legacy fundraising team with proven experience in growing these key income lines both on and offline. You will be used to developing effective relationships and working collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines as well as managing relationships with external suppliers.
