Support. Without Judgment.
At Prisoners Abroad, we support British citizens imprisoned overseas, their families at home, and people returning to the UK after prison. We are a small but powerful charity, providing life-saving support through some of the most isolating and traumatic experiences imaginable.
Following a recent team restructure aimed at strengthening the sustainability and impact of our services, this role has been designed to support the friendly, caring Prisoner & Family Support team with the delivery of information, advice, learning and wellbeing support to people in prison and support to their families throughout the time of imprisonment.
You’ll need to be a strong communicator, confident in writing and on the phone, and comfortable working with sensitive information. Good organisation, attention to detail and the ability to stay calm under pressure are key. An interest in human rights, criminal justice or working with vulnerable people is welcome, as is a flexible and proactive attitude.
This is a rewarding role in a friendly, committed team. You’ll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of people facing extreme isolation and be part of a charity with a strong reputation for dignity, compassion and non-judgemental support.
