Prisoners Abroad is an impressive, unique welfare and human rights charity providing advice and support to British people affected by overseas imprisonment. We help people during their incarceration, when they return to the UK and need resettlement services, and we also support their family and friends throughout the trauma.
As a member of our dynamic fundraising team, you will be raising income from trust and statutory sources by seeking new funding relationships, writing engaging grant proposals and reporting on impact. All underpinned by providing excellent relationship management and stewardship/cultivation experiences to funders.
With a track record of growing income gained through a minimum of 3 years experience, you will use your oustanding written skills to create compelling cases for support that will enable us to secure grants and make partnerships that develop into long lasting relationships.
It is essential that you have strong communication skills and the ability to build effective positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as a keen eye for detail.
Prisoners Abroad is a friendly and focused place to work offering 30 days’ annual leave + bank holidays and a 6.5% employer contributory pension. We are ‘usually’ based in a purpose-built office that is located a 3-minute walk from Finsbury Park Station (zone 2) which is 10 minutes from Oxford Circus and serviced by the Overground, Victoria & Piccadilly lines.
