Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey has been established for over 100 years and is the major provider of services for people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind in Surrey.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and creative Corporate and Community Fundraiser to lead on the development and growth of income through businesses and local communities across Surrey. Through your wealth of fundraising experience, you will research and identify new partnership opportunities as well as manage existing relationships, to drive unrestricted income for the charity.

The post holder must have a minimum of three years fundraising experience and use their initiative, personal presence and drive to support all fundraising activity to achieve a substantial increase in unrestricted income.

The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise effectively and manage a busy and varied workload. This is an exciting opportunity to join the charity and play an integral role in growing partnerships across Surrey.

Principle Accountabilities:

· Research and identify new partnership opportunities

· Provide excellent account management to new and existing partners in order to meet key fundraising and engagement objectives

· Work collaboratively to generate income from partners through creative fundraising initiatives

· Represent the charity at local functions and give presentations when required

· Create engaging assets for applications and pitch presentations

· Deliver a calendar of community fundraising events, promoting awareness campaigns to supporters and building engagement with new audiences

· Maintain accurate and up to date record keeping of written and oral communication with supporters.

· Attend evening and weekend events on behalf of Sight for Surrey.

Work Context:

The post holder will be highly motivated and organised to research, identify and build new and existing relationships with local businesses and community organisations in order to increase unrestricted income and engagement for the charity.

Sight for Surrey constantly needs to reassess its priorities in line with a changing funding environment and the needs identified by its members and service users.  These factors are crucial to the charity’s survival and need careful attention.  In order for Sight for Surrey to successfully manage these pressures there is a need for all staff to be flexible and work wherever their core skills are needed most.  No-one will be asked to carry out work for which they are not properly trained.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Develops innovative approaches to fundraising strategy to increase income streams.

Full time annual leave entitlement is 28 days per annum. Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey complies with auto enrolment, we match contributions up to 6% using the Pensions Trust. We offer training opportunities suitable for each role. We pay for annual flu vaccinations and an eye test every two years with a contribution towards work related glasses.

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will support the Service Manager with managing the Cardiff Support Through Court service. You will provide support to volunteers and oversee the daily running of the service when on duty to ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly.

FP&A Manager | London | Interim | £300 - £350 per day (Umbrella), 4 months +

For a leading UK charity, we're recruiting an Interim FP&A Manager for at least 4 months. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Interim FP&A Manager will support the charity in providing first-class financial planning and analysis support, lead on the reporting of restricted funds, coordinate the production of management accounts, and business partner the Transformation Team and CEO.

What you'll be doing:

• Production of insightful monthly management accounts and consolidated reporting, partnering with, and challenging, budget holders to understand variances whilst producing meaningful MI to enable leadership to make informed decisions
• Forge a strong business partnering service, working closely with the operations team, the Strategy, Digital and Transformation directorate as well as the Finance and Commercial and Chief Executive Office.
• Play a lead role in Transformation projects, partnering the Project teams and Head of Transformation to provide finance support
• Review budgets for all submissions for Restricted Funded grants and other fundraising bids
• Review financial reports for all projects from restricted funds
• Lead the annual budget production and quarterly updates to year-end forecasts for all restricted funding sources in collaboration with Head of Finance and Finance and Commercial Director

What you'll offer:

• CCAB qualified / part-qualified with experience of FP&A, including annual budgeting and medium and long-term planning
• Strong experience within the charity sector, particularly around restricted funds
• A track-record of producing insightful management information, monthly management accounts and financial modelling
• Experience of driving the production of insightful decision-making analysis as well as the ability to support the delivery of strategic objectives
• Ability to work from the central London office at least 2-days per week.
• Attention to detail, a love of people, and lots of self-motivation!

Charity People are working with - Unitas Youth Zone, Barnet which is part of the OnSide Youth Zones network, to find a new Philanthropy Manager. The role will generate income by supporting a programme of high impact, donor-focused stewardship of existing donors (major donors) and new sustainable major donor relationships.

Role: Philanthropy Manager

Salary: £40,000 - 45,000

Location: Hybrid, with three days working in the office per week

Contract: Permanent, Open to either 1.0 FTE or 0.8 FTE with flexible hours

About the role

This is an exciting job opportunity for an experienced Philanthropy Manager who is passionate about fundraising and securing major donations. You will be working closely with the Head of Fundraising to develop and maintain relationships with existing Patrons and Supporters. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading in the development of a Patrons program which aims to encourage individuals to support the charity at various levels.

Your duties will include developing sustainable relationships with major donors, implementing a high-impact stewardship program, and organising events to cultivate and steward donors. Your goal will be to bring in substantial income for the charity from philanthropic donations annually.

About you

To excel in this role, you should be an accomplished fundraiser with a proven track record of securing substantial funds from major donors. You will also have extensive experience in meeting challenging financial targets for both new business and stewardship and possess the ability to work to multiple deadlines. You should have a structured and methodical approach to work, a clear focus on results, and the ability to think conceptually and creatively. Your passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their goals and aspirations should be evident, along with your sound knowledge and awareness of issues affecting young people and the Barnet/North London community.
