We are seeking a proactive, organised and relationship-focused Community & Volunteer Events Coordinator to lead the coordination and delivery of community projects, family activities and volunteer engagement opportunities across Camden and Islington.

This is a hands-on operational role focused on strengthening community connections, increasing family engagement and supporting inclusive, welcoming activities for families accessing our services.

The postholder will coordinate a varied programme of projects, groups and events while building positive relationships with community partners, venues and local stakeholders. They will play an important role in identifying opportunities for collaboration, reducing barriers to participation and supporting innovative approaches to community engagement.

Lead a trusted community development charity and bring partners and businesses together to deliver long-term environmental, social and economic benefits across West Wales.

Who we are

PLANED is a long-established community development charity that now works across Pembrokeshire, Ceredigion and Carmarthenshire. For decades, we have supported communities to improve their quality of life by harnessing local potential, strengthening social infrastructure and helping people turn ideas into sustainable action.

Our work, regionally, brings together communities, public services, third sector partners and local businesses to deliver long-term environmental, social and economic benefit across West Wales.

A defining feature of PLANED is our asset-based approach. We own and manage a growing portfolio of buildings and assets, including our home site, the Old School in Pembrokeshire, which combines our office and conferencing space, with an additional range of tenanted spaces for local businesses.

We also lead the management of the Carmarthenshire Living Well Centre, a multi-use community facility hosting health, well-being, advice and support services. The Living Well Centre brings together a wide range of charities and statutory partners under one roof, creating a genuinely collaborative, free-to-access, local hub supporting 700 clients per month, which is increasingly seen as a model of best practice.

Most of PLANED’s work is delivered through multiple live projects funded by a mix of Welsh Government, NHS, National Lottery, National Grid, BT and other sources. We have a healthy financial position, but much of this funding is short to medium term, requiring continuous bid writing, relationship management and adaptation. The CEO role is therefore both externally facing and highly hands-on.

About the role

We are seeking a CEO to lead our next exciting chapter. This will include developing a new and updated organisational strategy, continuing to secure sustainable funding, overseeing project delivery and ensuring the organisation remains financially resilient while continuing to grow its impact and influence.

The organisation has a strong, inclusive and supportive culture that is bilingual. The team is community-rooted, collaborative and delivery-focused, with a clear ethos of shared responsibility and mutual support. We have a team of around 18 people, the majority of whom are project funded, supported by a small core team, including the CEO.

The role requires on-site presence; given our reach across West Wales, there is also regular travel required.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who will be comfortable in a village hall as they are in a meeting with national and local politicians, senior civil servants, charity or business leaders. You will be confident working across rural and coastal communities, and able to build trust quickly and authentically.

Our CEO leads a significant part of our fundraising activities, and experience in securing income and developing sustainable funding models will be important.

We are open to leaders who might be seeking their first CEO role, and are open to considering what support we can put in place to help a new CEO thrive.

Social Policy Economist/Quantitative Researcher

Full time, permanent contract with 6 months’ probation.

NEF is looking for an economist or quantitative researcher to join its social policy team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Westminster think tank, ideal for a curious and energetic researcher who is excited by NEF’s mission to build an economy that works for people and planet.

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in rigorous quantitative public policy research, alongside specific knowledge of labour markets, public services, social security, or a related area. Economists and researchers at NEF bring deep expertise in at least one key UK economic or social policy area. They apply strong economic and quantitative research skills, working collaboratively to produce high quality analysis and insight, and taking ownership of discrete elements within larger projects.

A key part of the role is connecting research to contemporary debates, and communicating complex ideas clearly and persuasively to a range of audiences, both internally and externally.

About the Role

This is no ordinary desk job. As a Programmes Officer, you will play a key role in supporting HRF’s humanitarian and development programmes, helping secure vital funding and coordinating projects that create meaningful impact for vulnerable communities worldwide.

Working closely with field teams, donors, and partners, you will contribute to programme development, grant management, reporting, and strategic coordination across multiple country programmes. The role also includes opportunities for international travel to field locations, offering direct exposure to the communities and projects you support.

What You'll Be Doing

Under the management of the Head of International Programmes (HQ-based), the Programmes Officer will support the development and implementation of HRF’s programmes, with a strong focus on programme coordination, donor engagement, and fundraising. Key responsibilities include:

Grant Acquisition and Donor Coordination

• Develop concept notes, proposals, budgets, logical frameworks, and situation analyses.
• Identify new funding opportunities through donor platforms, clusters, and networking.
• Coordinate with colleagues to gather data required for proposal development.
• Represent HRF at relevant meetings and networking events.
• Coordinate with the marketing department to support project visibility.

Grant and Programme Management

• Review contracts, MOUs, and project documentation.
• Support project teams throughout the project cycle.
• Ensure projects comply with donor requirements, work plans, and budgets.
• Maintain communication with field offices, donors, and sector focal points.
• Lead the development of narrative and financial donor reports.
• Support donor visits, meetings, and external communications.
• Act as a focal point between HQ, donors, and field teams.
• Support MEAL teams in tracking project indicators.
• Ensure programme quality in line with HRF policies and SOPs.

Organisational Strategy and Growth

• Support the development and revision of organisational policies.
• Assist in supervising volunteers and interns.

Administrative Work

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field; master’s degree desirable.

AT Beacon Project Support Officer (Operations & Data)
Salary: £26,500 – £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Contract/hours: 12-month fixed term (with potential to extend) | 35 hours per week (flexible, with occasional evenings/weekends)
Location: Hybrid – Office / Home / Community Sites (Lambeth)

About the Role

This is a pivotal role at the centre of a growing, community-led health initiative. The Project Support Officer (Operations & Data) will play a key part in coordinating day-to-day operations, monitoring performance, and ensuring the smooth delivery of the AT Beacon Project.

Key Responsibilities

• Programme Operations & Delivery: Coordinate Beacon Hub activities and manage operational logistics and support the delivery of key initiatives, such as the Fruit & Vegetable Prescription Programme.
• Data, Reporting & Insights: Maintain accurate and high-quality data systems, produce regular reports, support dashboard development, and analyse trends to inform decision-making.
• Stakeholder & Partnership Support: Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, community partners, and public health stakeholders. Support effective communication and collaboration across the project.
• Senior Leadership Support: Assist with SMT coordination, prepare briefing materials, and track actions and deadlines.
