About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.

The role

The ideal candidate

What would we like…?

Do you have a track record of delivering accurate, reliable, administrative and project support in a fast moving environment? 
We are looking for someone with experience of working in a collaborative way to join the Marketing and Brand team as Project Administrator on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.  You'll support the day-to-day running of the team by providing effective administration and project planning. 

This role is varied and the successful postholder will be responsible for scheduling external and internal meetings, liaising with key internal and external stakeholders, preparing reports, setting agendas and minute taking for meetings and financial administration. You'll also work with the Project Lead to provide project support to achieve implementation of key improvement projects.
 

We would like you to:

• Support the Marketing and Brand Director and Project Lead with managing project workflow (for example task tracking, updating and delegating tasks), sourcing and collating feedback and reporting as required.  
• Manage the Director Marketing and Brand’s diary including booking meetings, setting and minute-taking for key meetings.  
• Organising regular team meetings and events such as away days (booking meeting spaces, agenda, refreshments, liaising with attendees, etc)  
• Process our credit card costs and keep our budget tracker updated.

Working in a hybrid way, you’ll be attached to either our Birmingham, London or Manchester office and will report to the Project Lead.  In line with our current ways of working, you’ll be expected to be in the office at least 1 day a month, in addition to team days and this may be reviewed by Ambition. 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To succeed in this role you'll have an helpful attitude, with the ability to take initiative to lead or support on projects as required, and you'll identify opportunities to improve operations. Our ideal candidate will have the ability to manage multiple, competing demands, prioritising as appropriate.  

Whilst an interest in Marketing and Communications is desirable, it is not essential for applying to this role. Rather, you'll have proven experience of minute taking, preparing reports and PowerPoint presentations.

The team
The Northern Ireland team sit within the Energy Directorate of Energy Saving Trust. In Northern Ireland, our main focus is to deliver the Northern Ireland Sustainable Energy Programme (NISEP), but we also are involved in other areas of work and deliver campaigns helping NI householders save energy and money.

There are currently four programme support officers who work very closely to support each other in delivering NISEP and report into the project manager of the team. The team also includes an assistant programme manager and is headed up by the programme manager for NI. The team collaborate with external stakeholders regularly and other teams of Energy Saving Trust.
 
The role     
The programme support officer will be focusing on enabling people in Northern Ireland create warmer homes, reduce their energy bills, and lower their carbon footprint. 
 
NISEP is an £8 million grant programme that provides funding for energy efficiency measures for domestic and commercial properties.  Energy Saving Trust are the programme administrator of NISEP on behalf of the Utility Regulator in Northern Ireland.
 
The role will provide you with an inspiring opportunity to develop your programme management experience, and develop your knowledge in the Energy Access sector, helping our vulnerable customers.
 
What you’ll do

• Support the smooth running of the Energy Saving Trust NI programme work, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.
• A strong focus on the administration of NISEP, including assessing payment claims; reviewing and analysing interim reports as well as other NISEP tasks.
• Liaise with external stakeholders as well as with Energy Saving Trust staff in other offices.

What you’ll bring

• You will be an excellent communicator and will be comfortable dealing with people at all levels. You will develop positive working relationships with all NISEP primary bidders, working closely with them on a day-to-day basis.
• Strong administrative and numeric skills as well as excellent attention to detail and a prolific knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

The Orkney Native Wildlife Project is looking for a motivated senior administrator who can support a busy team to facilitate delivery of the work programme and ensure an effective office working environment. The Orkney Native Wildlife Project started in 2018 and is a partnership between RSPB Scotland, Nature Scot and Orkney Islands Council. Its purpose is to work with local communities and landowners to undertake the world’s largest stoat eradication operation and safeguard the unique and internationally important native wildlife of Orkney. This is an exciting and varied role that presents a fantastic opportunity to support a large team in making a real difference for nature!

To make a success of this opportunity, you will be a capable senior administrator with the ability to work well with a broad range of people, whilst having strong office administration skills to ensure the smooth running of the team.

What's the role about?

Stoats were first reported in Orkney in 2010 and their presence threatens a variety of species including the unique Orkney vole, hen harriers, short-eared owls, red-throated divers, waders and seabirds which attract wildlife enthusiasts all year round making a significant contribution to the local economy

Funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and EU LIFE alongside partner contributions the project is now in a key implementation stage and we are looking for a strong administrator who can support the busy team. As the Senior Administrator, you will be expected to:

• Provide comprehensive business administrative support to the project team, including financial processes, travel and accommodation, events, organising and maintaining materials and equipment, diary bookings and maintaining SharePoint websites.
• Provide a dedicated administrative support service to the steering group, project board and Technical advisory group, including diary management, drafting letters and other communications, organising travel, accommodation and meetings
• Oversee the day-to-day management of the office environment to ensure the office is an efficient, effective and safe place to work.
• Provide comprehensive support to recruiting managers where required for all aspects of the recruitment and induction processes

As the Senior Administrator for a large multidisciplinary team, timely and efficient office management is essential to meet multiple, sometimes competing deadlines.  Experience is required in Microsoft Office applications, document management and team collaboration tools with internal and external partners.  An ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences is essential.  Other duties will include organising meetings, taking minutes, organising small and large-scale events, as well as supporting the day-to-day running of the office.  Effective teamwork and the ability to work on your own initiative will be vital in this role and you will be expected to continually look at ways of improving office procedures.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MS Teams, SharePoint), plus the ability to impart this knowledge on to others.
• Knowledge of document management and team collaboration tools.
• Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, email or in person.

This role will contribute to the achievement of the “Forest for the Future” and CAR programmes objectives by monitoring project implementation against objectives, providing comprehensive support to the L&L team, and directly supporting partner NGOs involved in the projects.

Person specifications

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of and/or interest in forest governance and human rights, particularly in Central Africa. They should have experience and/or interest in providing project management support within a charitable organisation or in an international development context, as well as collaborating with local NGOs in developing countries. Additionally, they should have experience and/or interest in managing development project budgets, monitoring expenditure and processing payments.

Basic understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), project work plans, and logical frameworks is necessary, along with proficiency in producing high-quality financial and narrative reports.

The candidate must demonstrate the capability to manage projects in accordance with the requirements of institutional donors and contribute to strategic project development, including project design and the creation of funding proposals.

We are looking for a new team member to provide full administrative and programme support to the Employment & Careers team. The role will involve supporting the team in the day to day running of the service including the preparation of contract documentation (such as registration forms, as well as specified supporting evidence: ID proofs, Proofs of Address etc.) for submission to funding partners, uploading data spreadsheets and CMS systems, and supporting the team with promotion, outreach and engagement of our services. This includes conducting follow-ups and answering queries (by phone, email and in person) from both current and prospective participants on the programmes being delivered by High Trees.
