The Walcot Foundation is an independent grant-making charity located in Lambeth, South London, providing a range of economic and social support directly to young people, schools and community groups in order to transform their prospects in the borough. To strengthen this mission the Foundation set up the BounceBack programme, now in its third year, working with a consortium of 10 place-based charities and community interest companies in South London to help young people find paid work.

As a Programme Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing the logistics of a range of different courses and programmes. You will work closely with the Programme Directors, who design and deliver the course and programme content.

Your role will include communicating with programme participants and clients, creating programme materials, managing budgets, booking venues, travel and accommodation, and event management.

You will be skilled at working across a suite of programmes and balancing multiple deadlines. You’ll enjoy taking personal responsibility for your own portfolio and also working with the team of Programme Coordinators to support each other’s work and drive continuous improvement.

Our business model includes online working alongside in person therefore you will be expected to provide online technical support and be proficient in Microsoft Teams, Zoom and other online platforms to support the delivery of client work.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, alongside first-rate numeracy skills to be able to monitor programme budgets. The Healthy Ageing Project will address specific challenges within the community, while actively promoting healthy ageing in practical and effective ways across our network.

The Head of Youth Engagement & Participation is a key senior leadership role at Peer Power Youth. Job Purpose

• To be the focal point for implementing all Education and Training activity within the Company, and to report back to the Education and Training Committee to maximise its reach and effectiveness.

• Oversee and steer the activity around a new website to engage young people with possible careers in the industry, ensuring growing engagement with young people and job posters.
• To administer and deliver several small grant programmes which support furniture and furniture students or those working with said students.

Key Responsibilities

Events

• Young Furniture Makers Exhibition - To plan, organise and deliver the annual one-day exhibition showcasing the best new talent to industry. Securing event sponsorship and working with sponsors during the organisation process to ensure positive relationships. Working with over 70 exhibitors, multiple sponsors and external suppliers to ensure a successful event.
• Young Professional Industry Engagement event programme - To plan, organise and deliver the annual three-week programme of CPD visits for a selected group of participants to industry hosts across the UK. Working with participants and over 20 organisations to schedule and deliver the programme.
• Furniture Making T-Level conference – Working with the Chair of the Education and Training Committee and selected members to plan, organise and implement a one-day conference on the practicalities of overing the Furniture T-Level in an educational setting.
• Organise and attend several regional career fairs and trade shows to promote the education and training initiatives and encourage young people to consider a career in furniture and furnishings.
• Plan and organise the content of an Education and Training slot at the annual Furniture Makers’ HR Conference to highlight key events and programmes.
• Ensure that equality, diversity and inclusion is considered in all aspects of Education and Training events.

Grants

• Administer a small annual grants scheme supporting colleges and universities which provide specialist furniture and furnishing education courses.
• Manage a travel bursary scheme to support exhibitors attending the Young Furniture Makers Exhibition.

Website

• Administer the jobs board featured on the My Furniture Career website, screening and approving posted vacancies as well as liaising with those posting jobs to confirm the status of the vacancy, sharing data once the vacancy expires and collecting feedback data from the poster.
• To work with the Digital Officer to agree a schedule of content for the website and its associated social media.
• Work with the Communications Manager and Digital Officer to promote the use of the website by the targeted audience group as well as the HR community to post vacancies to the jobs board.
• Produce a quarterly report detailing the usage and any highlights regarding the website.
• Report any technical issues to the website provider and liaise with them to fix the issue.

Reporting

• Quarterly reporting on activity and budget to the Education and Training Committee.
• Supporting the Committee Chair by setting up Committee meetings and taking minutes.
• Supporting the Committee Chair with any other administration as necessary related to the Committee. 
• Assist with any ad hoc administration as necessary related to the FIESTA Committee.

Miscellaneous

• Assisting the Education and Training Committee Chair with any administration in regard to the Masters Certificate Scheme.
• Send quarterly feedback surveys mentoring participants and collect the data for reporting purposes.
• Work with the Communications and Marketing Manager to promote Education and Training events.
• Keep the Education and Training budget up to date and process all invoices in a timely manner.
• Report back to all event sponsors after any Education and Training sponsored event to keep sponsors updated and aware of the events successes.

The Role

This role will be responsible for researching and applying to small Trusts and managing an existing portfolio (up to 10K) alongside supporting larger grant applications where required. You will create and maintain a prospect list, apply for relevant opportunities and effectively steward existing funders, preparing reports and updates ensuring they meet donor guidelines. Furthermore you will support the migration of our CRM from Raisers Edge to Microsoft Dynamics.

The person

You will have Trust fundraising experience with excellent research and writing skills with ability to identify new Trusts to apply to, prepare accurate and compelling donor reports and case studies and be confident in approaching donors and promoting the work of Whizz-Kidz.  You will have strong donor stewardship skills with ability to tailor approaches to the needs of the donor. You will also have strong time management skills with ability to manage and prioritise your workload and ideally experience of using a CRM for Trust Fundraising.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Behaviourist (Clinical Behaviour Services) to work on providing an internal referral service for behavioural medicine, recommending treatment protocols, monitoring patient progress, and assisting with more complex cases as required.

What does this role involve?

As Veterinary Behaviourist you’ll:

• Work with the Community Clinical Animal Behaviour and post-adoption support teams in devising the optimal behaviour rehabilitation strategy for dogs in their care while liaising with external veterinary practices as required to support the work of clinical teams.
• Support and advise staff across Dogs Trust on matters relating to psychoactive medication and links between disease, physiology and behavioural signs, under the direction of the Head of Clinical Behaviour Services.
• Provide behaviour consultations to owned dogs with behaviour problems especially those with a medical component that requires specialist input.
• Assist with staff training through workshops, clinical case reviews, mentorship and conferences.

About you:

With a good knowledge of dog behaviour, training and welfare you will have a veterinary qualification with postgraduate experience as a veterinary surgeon. With basic knowledge of statistical methods and ability to evaluate published research you will have enthusiasm for professional development, research and developing specialist skills in veterinary behavioural medicine.

Science led behaviour knowledge also informs a range of other areas of Dogs Trust activity, including campaigns, international projects and the work of the education teams. The role of the Clinical Behaviour Services team is to provide clinical behaviour services for members of the public including adopters of Dogs Trust dogs and in association with Dog School.

About the Role: This is an interesting and varied role. As the post holder you'll be not only be setting up, administering and delivering schemes and activities to benefit Barnet’s looked after young people, you'll also be creating marketing materials and supporting fundraising events.  Promoting the work of our charity is key too through updating our website, writing our quarterly newsletter and social media channels, as well as supporting the running and administration of the charity. 

About You:

You'll have experience of managing and delivering projects, schemes or activities and supporting administrative tasks including keeping accurate records, financial tracking and expenditure.
 
You'll also have experience of creating engaging content for newsletters, websites and/or social media channels especially Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram and building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver common goals.

The Childhood Trust

Role Description

As Volunteer Programmes Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the successful delivery of projects in the Decorate A Child's Life (DACL) and Adventure Play Partnership (APP) volunteering programmes. Your role will include  managing the day-to-day operations for Volunteer Programmes, oversight of programme coordination,  reviewing and updating procedures on a rolling basis and keeping good records, including financial monitoring and collecting impact data for regular reporting. This role may at times include attending site visits to scope projects, and leading and supervising groups of volunteers during project installations. 

You will work closely with fundraising colleagues to match partners/corporate volunteer groups to projects, and from time to time you’ll contribute to scoping new opportunities to adapt our offer for potential partnership pitches. Our Corporate Partnerships Manager will be a key colleague, as you’ll work together to plan and organise volunteering opportunities and to plan and implement a high-quality volunteer experience that ultimately helps the charity to secure income generation corporate partnerships. You’ll need to take a lead role in monitoring and reporting on progress, including the expenditure budget for project delivery, the level of delivery and the capturing of feedback from both beneficiaries and volunteers.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Ensuring referral partners and programme stakeholders receive a high-quality end-to-end service and timely responses to enquiries. 
• Project co-ordination and liaison with suppliers, designers, families, social workers, and referral partners. 
• Maintaining project budgets adn impact reporting 
• When necessary, conducting site visits to family homes and youth/community centres prior to project delivery (this will require travel within London). 
• Updating programme forms, paperwork and records using systems such as JotForm, Salesforce and Microsoft applications. 
• When necessary, managing volunteer groups on project delivery days, including carrying our practical tasks such as painting, furniture building, as necessary
• Contributing to the review and evaluation of volunteer programmes and informing future decision-making
• Producing and maintaining volunteer programme comms materials and Childhood Trust website copy
• Building strong relationships with colleagues across The Childhood Trust

This is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of homebased and office working. This role requires you at time to be working on-site delivering volunteering projects across London.

Programme Manager

We are looking for an experienced programme manager to lead an established Inclusive and Nurturing Schools (INS) programme to implement nurturing education across seven boroughs in London, commissioned by the London Violence Reduction Unit.

About the Role

The charity is leading on the Inclusion strand of the programme, delivering training to education professionals in 70 schools across London. The charity is working in partnership with Tender, a charity specialising in the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of healthy relationships between children and young people. Tender is leading on the Healthy Relationships strand of the programme.

In particular, you will be responsible for leading the established (2022) programme to keep children supported, and thriving in school, tackle exclusions, and ensure children and young people have healthy relationship behaviours and attitudes.

The Programme Manager will:

• Lead on programme management (including budget management and reporting)
