The role

This role will provide executive support to the CEO and Action Together’s Board as well as project managing internal business priorities.

The ideal candidate

We’re looking for someone with outstanding organisational skills and excellent attention to detail  who is able to manage multiple priorities, can produce written work to a high standard and is also able to proactively identify issues, implement solutions and get things done.

Salary: £35,745-£38,223 per annum

What's the role about?

For the key strategic business partnership within the dairy sector the role will visit farmer-suppliers and provide in-person habitat advice, and speak with farmers remotely (via Teams / Zoom) to understand their farming operation and provide habitat advice.

You will use this insight and experience to help inform the marketing tools and advisory programme for broader supply chain (other farms) within the partnership.

For other Fair to Nature farmers, and businesses directly linked to them, you will prepare for and complete advisory visits and follow up with applicant Fair to Nature farmers and share the benefits of Fair to Nature certification. You will advise them on how to comply with the FtN Standard and help them complete their Farm Plan.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Knowledge of land management practices that deliver nature and wider environment benefits on farmland.
• Understanding of the ecology of main farmland taxa, particularly those of conservation concern.
• Understanding of agricultural systems and how conservation management may impact on farming practice.
• Able to communicate effectively with farmers and advise them on land management for nature.
• Ability to be self-motivated and work efficiently within a defined work plan. This necessitates the ability to plan and organise their own work.
• Competent IT user (e.g. MS packages, Outlook etc).
• An ability to produce clear written communications.

Position summary

SAT-7 is currently looking to recruit a Development Officer to join SAT-7s Development Department.

The purpose of SAT-7 is to provide Christian television and digital media services to support the work and witness of the church in the Middle East and North Africa.

SAT-7’s Development department works with projects to address often controversial issues in the MENA region such as disability, discrimination, limited educational opportunities, women’s and children’s rights through the TV-programs and through on the ground partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the activities of SAT-7 PARS, SAT-7’s Farsi speaking channel, including the drafting of fundraising proposals.

Summary of key responsibilities

• Development of fundraising proposals for SAT-7 PARS’ channel projects in cooperation with all relevant SAT-7 stakeholders
• Conduct frequent MENA context analysis with special focus on the situation for Christians, FoRB, women, children, disabilities, education etc.
• Monitoring and managing the correct implementation of the projects (scope, budget, schedule, quality etc.)
• Manage and ensure the necessary reporting of SAT-7 PARS projects carried out with restricted funds.
• Management and development of the portfolio of SAT-7 social-impact projects in line with Communications for Development approach
• Oversee research related to measurement of the success of different projects.
• Work closely with the International Office Communications Department for the portfolio projects.
• Travelling to different SAT-7 offices in MENA when required

Qualifications and requirements

• Be sympathetic with and enthusiastic about the purpose and goals of SAT‑7.
• Relevant university degree is required e.g. Social Sciences, Political Sciences, Theology
• Knowledge of Middle East political, socioeconomics and religious issues is essential.
• Experience in project management, Communications for Development or/and Christian ministry, and the coordination of projects supported by restricted funds would be an advantage.
• Be a proficient communication writer able to express SAT-7’s Christian identity to corporate and statutory funders.
• Outstanding English writing/speaking skills.
• Experience in a similar position is considered an advantage.
• Knowledge of Farsi would be an advantage.

In this new role as a Development Surveyor at the Trust, you'll play an important part in advancing our Property Strategy, taking forward capital projects, in support of extending our charitable impact and growing our income to do so. High Trees are seeking a dynamic and creative Community Capacity Building Officer to provide tailored development support to local organisations and manage projects relating to sector support. You will be joining us at an exciting time following the formation of a new Research and Development team which is starting to deliver a new capacity building offer to the local Voluntary and Community Sector, including one-to-one mentoring and the production of high-quality resources based on our experience of working with Lambeth communities for over 25 years. We deliver capacity building support both directly and through our partnership work.

This is a hands-on, practical role and the right candidate will have a wide skillset. You will be working on a variety of projects which focus on capacity building and VCS infrastructure support. This new role will work across varied charity management projects to help set up a new UK office for a fast growing medical INGO that has already treated over 13 million patients across Africa!

Role Context

ALIMA UK is in its start-up phase and is made up of a small team. This period is exciting at times unpredictable.  We need someone reliable who enjoys and has a proven track record of leading and delivering on operational projects for a business or charity while working with senior stakeholders. We are looking for a part time Membership Officer to work 3 days a week, alongside our existing part time Membership Officer. Together, they will lead on administrative support of our membership functions. Reporting to our Office and Events Manager, the post holder will be responsible for the administrative functions that support the smooth running and ongoing success of the organisation around membership.

This is an interesting and varied role that acts as a first 'point of contact’ for the people we work with (such as Member Institutions, Registrants and queries from members of the public), as well as managing the administrative aspect of memberships, such as setting up new Registrants on our CRM system. The role also involves longer term project work such as overseeing the CPD audit and improving and growing membership processes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with previous administrative experience who are keen to join our small and friendly staff team.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual with experience working within, or understanding of the education sector. You must be an excellent team player with the ability to use your initiative to lead of projects relating to under 18s pedagogy projects within the Society.

About the role

You will be joining a highly passionate Professional Development team to lead on delivery of the education objectives of the BES Strategic Plan 2023-2025. The team seek to support teachers and enable and empower the next generation to join and remain within ecology. We have a key focus of ensuring equality, diversity, and inclusion is integrated into our project work and we work collaboratively with networks, community groups, and external organisations to further our impact.

Reporting to the Professional Development Manager, the Education Officer will assist the BES in:

• Delivery of the BES Strategy relating to all under 18 pedagogy projects, including the development of a teachers network and recruitment of champion schools as part of our “Connecting Schools to Nature” legacy project work.
• Leading on the teachers programme at the BES Summer School
• Representing the Society at key education events and maintaining an expert reputation in terms of ecological education
• Building and maintaining a mutually supportive network of partners whose goals align with the BES.
• Assisting the Professional Development Manager and Director of Communities and Inclusion in securing external funding to further the reach and impact of education work at the BES

About the role

This role will contribute to the achievement of the “Forest for the Future” and CAR programmes objectives by monitoring project implementation against objectives, providing comprehensive support to the L&L team, and directly supporting partner NGOs involved in the projects.

Person specifications

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of and/or interest in forest governance and human rights, particularly in Central Africa. They should have experience and/or interest in providing project management support within a charitable organisation or in an international development context, as well as collaborating with local NGOs in developing countries. Additionally, they should have experience and/or interest in managing development project budgets, monitoring expenditure and processing payments.

Basic understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL), project work plans, and logical frameworks is necessary, along with proficiency in producing high-quality financial and narrative reports.

The candidate must demonstrate the capability to manage projects in accordance with the requirements of institutional donors and contribute to strategic project development, including project design and the creation of funding proposals.
Furthermore, the successful applicant must be fluent in both written and spoken English and French.

They should also be willing to undertake travel for up to 16 weeks per year, including visits to remote forest areas.
