Content Creator 

Web-Based Volunteer 

 

Position: Volunteer 

Location: Web-based 

Start Date: As soon as possible 

Duration: Six to twelve months - extendable upon agreement 

Deadline: Year-round 

 

Summary

PROJECT-E is looking for highly motivated students, recent graduates or young professionals who are interested in the fields of NGOs, women empowerment and education, to support PROJECT-E Team Europe in a web-based bases.  

 

About the Organisation:  

The PROJECT-E team consists of about twenty students and young professionals living and working all over Europe. Together, they are managing the European organisation, as well as coordinating and discussing the development of the project in weekly calls. Most importantly, they all work voluntarily.  

 

Team Europe supports the PROJECT-E Hospitality Institute in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, where 100 young women from destitute social backgrounds get the yearly chance to pursue a vocational training programme in hotel operations. Furthermore, they receive social and financial support. Fourteen local staff members and several international and local volunteers run the project and its daily operations under the supervision of a project manager and a country representative.  

 

Your Responsibilities:  

As a member of Team Europe you will join the Public Relations Department to take care of  

  • Writing, proofreading and translating articles for our blog 

  • Translation of articles between German and English 

  • Creating and editing of PR material such as the annual report, flyers, texts for the website etc. 

  • Creating social media content 

 

Requirements   

  • Willingness to work on a voluntary basis 

  • High level of proactive and independent work style, communication skills, ability to work in an international team and willingness to go ‘the extra mile'  

  • Experience with text work such as writing and revising articles  

  • Creative ideas for articles and an interest in telling stories 

  • Advanced knowledge of the English language, German would be an asset  

  • Workload: min. 5 hours per week 

  • Willingness to join a weekly department call
