Migrants’ Right Network wishes to recruit a Project manager for its exciting project exploring the vulnerabilities migrants face (21 hours a week, 6 month duration)
This exciting new post will suit a candidate with the confidence and zeal to build collaboration with migrants, refugees, as well as migrant and refugee community organisations (MRCOs) of diverse backgrounds.
The successful candidate will be alert to the fact that people in this group often experience insecurity in a number of ways owing to the fact increasingly restrictive immigration rules.
The project manager will have clear ideas about the risks that are associated with insecure residence status, which include exploitation in employment, poor standard accommodation and homelessness, greater incidence of poor health, including mental health, and particular risks associated with gender, ethnicity and youth.
Working with migrants, refugees and MRCOs, the project manager will find innovative approaches to the task of building reliance and the capacity to resist harsh conditions.
The charity is looking for exceptional candidates with:
- Commitment to upholding the rights of migrants
- Real vision as to how this can be done in the current political, social and economic climate of the UK
- Readiness to work with all groups and individuals who support in part or in whole the MRN mission
- A proven track record in project management
The salary will be in the order of £36,000 per annum pro rata. In addition, MRN contributes 6% of salary to pensions.
