Chief Executive Officer 

Salary: £80-90K plus 28 days holiday 

Location: Hertfordshire office. Hybrid currently with 40% in the office.  

The Multiple Sclerosis Trust is a charity for everyone affected by MS, from the moment of diagnosis and throughout their journey. More than 130,000 now live with multiple sclerosis in the UK. They are there for them today, tomorrow and every day after, making sure a life with MS isn’t a life defined by MS. The charity, founded 30 years ago, fights to make sure everyone affected by multiple sclerosis can access good quality, specialist care and live the best life they possibly can.

They are now looking for a new Chief Executive to take this incredible, highly regarded charity to the next level. With ambitious plans for growth, they are looking for a strong, ambassadorial leader who will play a part in shaping the future of the charity and taking it to the next level.

You will have strong leadership experience, good knowledge of the NHS and the health sector, as well as change management experience. Experience of major donor fundraising would also be advantageous.

We are seeking candidates with:

• Strong ambassadorial experience
• A proven track record of leadership
• Understanding of the Health sector and ideally the NHS
• Experience of leading organisational change projects
• Empathy with people who have a long-term condition, ideally an understanding of MS
• Experience of supporting or leading income growth strategies
• The ability to build and lead relationships with major donors and key stakeholders
