Job description

Refugee Action has supported refugees and people seeking asylum since 1981.  We work with people who have survived war and persecution, following their arrival in the UK. We help them to obtain the support they need to live with dignity. Then we empower them to build safe, happy and productive lives in the UK.


Our vision is that refugees and people seeking asylum will be welcome in the UK. They will get justice, live free of poverty and be able to successfully rebuild their lives.

We work to achieve our vision through working collaboratively with local and national partners to provide front-line services, campaigning to tackle the root cause of problems faced by refugees and people seeking asylum, and working to connect and support other organisations so we are stronger as a sector. 


This is a unique opportunity for an inclusive, courageous, collaborative leader to work with a highly talented and committed board and staff team to develop and drive Refugee Action forward with passion and humility. You will bring a track record of successful leadership in securing systemic change, through campaigns, services and / or capacity building.   We are keen to attract candidates with lived experience as a refugee or person seeking asylum.
