Job description

Prospectus is delighted to be supporting a London based health membership organisation, which sets and maintains standards for education and training of all doctors working in the four nations of the UK. In order to support their members and promote the highest standards of medical practice, they are currently looking to recruit a Clinical Reviews Manager to lead their primary aim of improving best practice for all patients.

As their Clinical Reviews Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of a high-profile clinical reviews programme. Reporting to the Director of Research and Quality Improvement, and forming part of their senior management team, you will be the first point of contact for delivering their clinically-led peer reviews and consultancy services to healthcare providers, commissioners and service planners across the UK to improve the quality and safety of care and services to children, young people and their families. A pivotal role for the organisation, you will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to advise and support clinical teams to resolve concerns about paediatric provision, safety, team dynamics and communication, and compliance with standards to ensure effective reviews and recommendations are delivered to achieve best practice and better patient care and safety.

To be successful, you will have proven understanding of current NHS policy and strategy across the UK, including regulatory processes and standards applied to the NHS, independent health sector and child health services. Due to the focus of this role, you will possess demonstrable experience of conducting reviews at a senior level either for the NHS or regulatory body including CQC and NMC, combined with the ability to effectively influence, communicate and advise multi-disciplinary teams, members of the public and patients through various forms. This is an incredibly rewarding role that ultimately impacts the standard of care children and young people receive in clinical settings; the ability to prioritise and communicate effectively is essential, as is a relevant qualification at degree level or equivalent.

If you wish to apply for this unique opportunity, please submit a Word version of your CV. Supporting statements are not required at this stage.

A full job description will be provided to candidates shortlisted by Prospectus.
