Prospectus is excited to be supporting Richard House Children's Hospice in their search for a new Community Manager to join the team. The Hospice has a committed community supporter based and they are looking for you to maintain and grow community fundraising programme to enable the Hospice in its mission to support children and their families
As a key member of the Fundraising Team, you will develop and implement the community fundraising strategy, ensuring growth in the level of income raised from community fundraising activity. Working within the wider fundraising team, you will provide support to and report to the Head of Community & Events. You will be responsible for developing engaging fundraising activities and adapting fundraising styles that work with a wide range of stakeholders - building relationships and supporting local community groups, schools, individuals and organisations. You will directly line manage one other person in this role.
The organisation is looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, including building relationships with people in person, over the phone and via email. The successful candidate will have previous experience juggling and managing a varied and busy workload, as well as having a keen interest in fundraising and enthusiasm for the work of the hospice. You will need to enjoy working as part of a team in addition to being self-motivated and eager to learn.
You do not need to have previous community fundraising experience for this position, however, you need to be able to showcase some transferable skills and the ability and willingness to learn.
