Prospectus is pleased to be working with a young people’s charity, based in Bristol, whose mission is to provide support to young people with cancer, as well as their families. Their vision is to work with young people and their families from the onset of diagnosis right through to post-treatment, helping them deal with the effects of cancer on their lives. They are currently looking for two Customer Service Advisors to join their dedicated team, to work on a full time (35 hours per week), ongoing basis.

As their Customer Service Advisor, your main tasks will be engaging and building relationships with the supporters of the charity, being the first point of contact for all inbound calls. The team you will join is experienced in discussing a range of situations, which will be a key element of triage, ensuring the right information gets forwarded to the relevant person/team. You will be involved in making outbound calls to new supporters originating from various methods of fundraising, and conducting aftercare with them about being involved in the service. On average there are about 70 inbound and outbound calls per customer service advisor per day, therefore great communication skills, use of initiative and the ability to work as a team is advantageous.


To be successful, you will need to be available immediately or on a week’s notice maximum. You will be confident in dealing with queries from the general public, internal colleagues or senior levels of management and will have experience in working with customers both over the phone and in writing, with outbound calling experience. The ideal candidate will be able to build rapport quickly and will enjoy dealing with a broad range of customers. This role requires individuals who are able to demonstrate excellent listening and verbal communication skills. Computer literacy is also essential in this role with experience with Microsoft packages (i.e. Word and Excel).

To be considered, you must be available to start immediately and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS (Adults and Children) that is registered to the online update service
