Job description

Our client, a prestigious London based conservatoire are looking to recruit a Deputy Head of Estates on a full time basis, reporting to the Head of Estates and to start in January 2022.

In this position you will be responsible for all areas of operational estates management and the smooth running of the facilities on a day-to-day basis. You will be responsible for providing a high level of service to staff, students, and visitors. Areas of management include all aspects of building security, maintenance, safety, soft services and the helpdesk. You will be responsible for financial control for the areas that you manage directly. Maintaining the contracts database, you will have regular review meetings with suppliers and manage all contracts in relation to mechanical, electrical and fire. You will oversee the work of the H&S manager ensuring compliance and risk management.

To be considered for this role, you will need demonstrable experience of working in a Estates management role and managing multiple sites, capable of working under pressure and used to managing competing and sometimes conflicting priorities. You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, demonstrating strong intellectual, analytical and organisational skills with experience of managing in house and outsourced teams. You will have experience in Change Management, Contract/Supplier Management and Procurement and have strong technical knowledge.
