Prospectus is excited to be working exclusively with City Year UK to help them recruit for a new Development Manager to enhance and grow its fundraising income from trusts, foundations and statutory funders to support the organisation's activity in London, West Midlands and Greater Manchester.
This role is offered as a permanent full time contract to be based near Angel and will be paying £36,300 - £40,800 per annum depending on experience.
City Year UK is a leadership development programme that personally and professionally develops their volunteer mentors. They give passionate and resilient 18 to 25-year-olds their own tailored development plan, which is designed to help them hone the key skills and competencies that will stand them in good stead for life - things like planning and organisation, communication, problem-solving, project management, resilience and self-awareness.
Reporting to the Director of Development and working closely with the Chief Executive, the DM will be managing and leading on the trusts, foundations, and statutory fundraising function at City Year UK. The DM's focus will oversee the prospect research, pipeline, identification, and cultivation of relationships with potential funders, produce regular donor reports, and leverage key contacts within and outside of the City Year UK network.
They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience working in a fundraising environment and developing and securing funding from trusts, foundations and statutory funders. You will have strong writing skills with the ability to present arguments, produce applications, reports and letters and summarise in a clear and focused manner with accuracy in grammar and an eye for detail.
