Job description

Prospectus is delighted to be working with the Fundraising Regulator to recruit a part time Digital Marketing Officer (3 days a week), who will support the communications team to deliver key digital marketing and advertising campaigns. This role will be focused on promoting the work and services of the Fundraising Regulator to members of the public and to charitable fundraising organisations.

The Fundraising Regulator is committed to being a diverse and inclusive place of work and welcomes applications from all backgrounds. This role is offered on 3 days a week for a 12-month fixed-term contract.

The Fundraising Regulator was launched in July 2016 with responsibility for regulating all charitable fundraising in the UK. Its mission is to carry out an independent and non-statutory regulatory role in a way that protects the public, donors and potential donors, not least those who may be vulnerable, from unacceptable fundraising practices. It sustains and enhances public confidence in the charitable sector, supports the sector to understand and carry out its responsibilities when engaging with the public and helps to create a positive donor experience, ensuring consistent fundraising standards across the UK.

In consultation with the Communications Manager and Communications Officer, you will plan and execute day-to-day digital advertising campaigns for online channels, such as social media, Google and other websites. Your detailed plans will be transparent and informative, and aligned with our campaign objectives.

This role will be focused on planning and executing two significant public-facing marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the Fundraising Regulator, and advising the team on digital marketing initiatives. You will take the lead on researching the most effective channels and approaches, maximising the impact and contributing to our marcoms strategy. A key role will be to provide an analytical data-driven perspective, monitoring, reporting and analysing campaigns, so that improvements can be made, and maximum results achieved. You will bring expertise in tools such as Google Analytics and social media platform reporting, which will feed into existing communications reports and help the communications team develop a complete picture of engagement with its services. Day-to-day you will apply excellent copywriting skills and create engaging visual content, as well as oversee the effective moderation of comments on activity.

The successful candidate will have track record of identifying best use of digital platforms for paid social and display ads to increase awareness and engagement. Alongside significant experience of planning and executing paid Google ad campaigns (search and display), assessing keywords and ad groups to optimise performance. You will be comfortable creating engaging content for a range of specific audiences. The Digital Marketing Officer will thrive in a strong collaborative and communicative way of working. They will support a small but high performing communications team and bring a methodical approach to their work.

We welcome candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds. Please let us know if we can help you with the application process in any way. We are more than happy to make any reasonable adjustments to enable all interested candidates to apply.

If you are interested in applying to this DMO position, please submit your CV in the first instance. If your experience is suitable, we will send you the full job description and will arrange for a call and/or meeting to brief you on the role. You'll then have all the information you need to formally apply. We are looking forward to connecting with you soon.
