There is a growing number of children in the UK who are living with a critical illness. When a child is diagnosed with a critical illness, their lives, and their family's lives are turned upside down and life can be consumed with hospital appointments, gruelling treatment and time away from friends and family. When a child turns to Make-A-Wish UK, they delve into their imagination to discover their One True Wish and wishes can range from walking with dinosaurs, meeting a life-long hero, or being transformed into a princess for the day.
Make-A-Wish UK want to grant more wishes and want to do so in a sustainable way. Due to the impact of COVID-19, Make-A-Wish UK have lost around 35% of their income but most importantly, they have 2000 children waiting for a wish. They are now looking for their new Director of Income and Engagement to help make as many wishes happen for children across the UK.
