Job description

Prospectus are proud to be partnering with The Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC), an amazing organisation dedicated to providing a range of vital services and support to blind and partially sighted children, young people and their families across England and Wales. They are now recruiting for a dynamic new Director of Services to extend RSCB's reach, innovate and develop new services, and ensure consistent high quality support for all beneficiaries.

Working as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), as Director of Services you will lead on RSBCS's strategy to extend the organisation's reach, to increase beneficiary numbers and ensure that more vision impaired young people and their families are aware of RSBC's support. You will innovate and will develop new services, as well as planning, delivering and continuously improving RSBC's programmes across England and Wales. You will ensure efficient and effective service delivery, ensuring that services deliver the outcomes and impact that will enable vision impaired children and young people (VICYP) to achieve their goals and aspirations. You will support, inspire and develop a dispersed services team whilst ensuring outcomes are set, embedded, recorded and monitored in order to drive service improvement. You will develop and implement a strategy to secure partnerships that lead to growth, identifying opportunities for income generation to support the Fundraising and Communications Director to achieve annual income targets and ensure consistent funding for services.

To be successful in this role, you will be a supportive and empowering leader, with significant previous experience of operating at a strategic level, working in a senior leadership role within a charitable, support service or services delivery environment. You will have previous experience of managing teams and building relationships internally, as well as influencing and developing relationships with external stakeholders. Finally, knowledge and/or experience of monitoring, evaluating and impact measurement is essential. Overall, you will be an outstanding leader, passionate about providing high quality, innovative services for a variety of vulnerable beneficiaries, and will truly identify with RSBC's values of Trust, Energy, Ambition and Motivation,
