Job Description

The Organisation
Prospectus is delighted to be collaborating with a leading parental charity in the UK to recruit for an Executive Director for Marketing and Communications. The organisation provides practical and emotional support for expectant and new parents before and after their baby arrives, with a mission to ensure parents have the best possible experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.

As a force for radical change, the organisation has achieved much since their inception. As part of their growth and development, the charity is committed to strengthening their current offer and organisation, and are looking to reach communities they traditionally have not engaged with. 

Role: Executive Director for Marketing and Communications 
Salary: £81,600 per annum
Term: 12 month fixed term contract/permanent
Location: London   

The Role
The main purpose of the role is to drive income through marketing their services, membership offer and partnerships with business, foundations and the statutory sector. In addition to this the Executive Director will be responsible for modernising their image and leading on internal communications, working closely with internal stakeholders to design a compelling case and momentum for change. The Executive Director will also be responsible for influencing and changing public attitudes, public policy and professional practice

Person Specification
Experience and skills to ideally include:
-Building and activating a brand to secure £multi-million income
-Marketing in a social-purpose organisation where commercial and social imperatives can be in tension
-Understanding how digital can help build brand and services
-Leading and landing cultural and operational change
-Building and leading teams
-Building partnerships across public, private and charitable sectors
-Prior success within a complex, matrixed organisation
-Building strong external relationships and profile
-Re-invigorating an established brand
-Securing change in public policy or professional practice
-Strong personal communication skills in terms of writing compellingly and presenting inspiringly
