Job description

Our client is a London based charity aiming to prevent homelessness. They work closely with vulnerable and socially excluded people to help transform their lives. They are currently looking to recruit a Floating Support Worker to provide a dynamic and empowering service to vulnerable clients in the Haringey area. This position is offered on a full-time (37.5 hours),temporary basis initially for three months.

As a Floating Support Worker you will be required to provide a service for the clients and ensure that they are housing ready at the housing staging post and once housing ready, the floating support worker will explore move on options for the clients in order to sustain meaningful accommodation and avoid being back to rough sleeping.You will support rough sleepers by ensuring that referrals are made to relevant services, in line with local objectives and targets.

To be successful, you must have experience of working in a Floating Support capacity, supporting rough sleepers or homeless clients, either in a volunteer or paid position. You will possess the ability to deliver a sensitive, client-centred support service to rough sleepers presenting with complex needs, and have the capability to implement action plans through high-quality risk and needs assessment. You will have a sound knowledge and current understanding of safeguarding issues and thorough understanding of the needs of homeless individuals and rough sleepers. Overall, you are a self motivated, hard working with excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate will be required to work Monday Friday, 9am 5pm.
