Job description

Prospectus is delighted to be working with Diabetes UK to recruit a Fundraising Events Coordinator who will be the first point of call for events fundraising enquiries.

Diabetes UK is working to make sure that those affected by diabetes get the best care and support they need to live well with their condition and avoid life-changing complications. Diabetes UK is leading the way by funding critical research, improving healthcare and treatment so to reach a vision of a world where diabetes can do no harm.

The overall purpose of this role is to work with the Fundraising Events Managers to provide fundraisers and supporters with the advice and support they need to maximise their fundraising potential. In this role, you will also support the Fundraising Events team in the delivery of virtual and face to face fundraising activity, whilst using social media to promote the events. You will also be responsible for managing relationships with fulfilment house and overseeing data content to ensure fundraising activity is monitored and optimised throughout the year.

To be successful as a Fundraising Events Coordinator, you will be a confident, conscientious team player, with excellent customer service skills, who is quick to learn, highly organised and a proactive problem solver. You will also be committed to developing customer care and team processes. You will have worked in a customer service focused administrative role in the charity sector and will have experience of working to tight deadlines across multiple tasks/events. Having experience of working with JustGiving reporting and fulfilment houses will also be an advantage.
