Prospectus is excited to be working exclusively with the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) to recruit for a new Fundraising Officer to focus on trusts & foundations, liveries and statutory bodies/institutional funders. This position is offered on a permanent full time basis and is based near Buckingham Palace.
QEST was formed in 1990 by the Royal Warrant Holders Association on its 150th Anniversary, but also to mark the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. The charity funds the training and education of talented and aspiring craftspeople through traditional college courses, vocational training, apprenticeships or one on one training with a master craftsperson, helping to sustain Britain's cultural heritage. Over the last 29 years, QEST has awarded £4.5 million to almost 500 craftspeople of all ages and backgrounds in at least 130 skills, from rural to cutting-edge craft and conservation.
It's an exciting time to be joining as they enter their 30th anniversary year. As an organisation, they have a number of investments that covers core costs, meaning any funds raised by this position go into the programmes. Your role will be to deliver restricted income through grant applications and fundraising approaches primarily to trusts, foundations, liveries, institutional funders and statutory bodies. There is scope to develop major donor and corporate fundraising.
They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in Trust & Foundation fundraising who is good at and enjoys relationships building, you will also have the ability to work flexibly around events and some other activities. The office is relatively small and the organisation has developed relationships with some high profile individuals so the ability to work in these environments will be key.
