Prospectus is delighted to be working with Local Trust to recruit a Governance and HR Manager who will have principal responsibility for the effective management of HR and governance support for the organisation and its board of trustees. Over the past three years Local Trust has substantially invested in the governance and office services team, developing it into a central and integral function, which provides a broad range of support across the whole organisation. This reflects both the growth of the organisation and a more active and engaged board.
Please note this role is offered as a 1 year fixed term maternity cover and you will be expected to work in their London (Borough) office 2/3 days each week.
The overall purpose of this role is to be responsible for the day-to-day management of the HR function including overseeing recruitment and induction processes and monitoring employee performance. You will also act as a secretary to the board and senior management team, ensuing meetings and agendas are planned, minutes are taken and assisting with any follow up action.
To be successful as a Governance and HR Manager you will have experience of being a board secretary, working directly with trustees/chief executives/directors at a national level. You will also have experience setting and managing budgets, HR procedures and managing internal recruitment.
