Prospectus is delighted to be supporting The Ormiston Trust as they look to recruit for their new Grants Programme Manager on a part time basis (ideally 4 days a week, Mon - Thurs). The Trust provides funding and supports the creation and delivery of high quality programmes that will improve the life skills of young people and families.
The Ormiston Trust has a small part time team that operates from an office in central London. We are ideally looking for someone who can work 4 days a week (ideally Mon-Thurs) with the opportunity to work from home one day per week.
The Grants Programme Manager has significant responsibilities related to working with the CEO and grantees to assess effective practice and identify opportunities for funding, support the creation of outline proposals and also the identification of good quality delivery and funding partners. They will also work to review project plans, provide advice about strengthening proposals, and undertake monitoring of funded projects. Finally, they will work to develop key insights about effective practice and outcomes related to making a sustainable impact at scale. This person will offer capacity building and support to the funded projects throughout the grant making process.
The ideal candidate will be a bright, resourceful and motivated individual who will have significant experience of overseeing the design and delivery of projects or programmes. Ideally, this experience will have been in support of secondary schools or education based charities, and in similar key priority outcome areas of interest to the trust. A knowledge of grant making processes is desirable but not essential if he/she has sufficient experience of providing project development advice, developing external partnerships, evaluation and creating trusting relationships with key senior leaders in supported organisations.
