Prospectus is delighted to be exclusively supporting Surviving Economic Abuse (SEA) in its search for a new Head of Development. This role can be either full or part-time and will be fully remote.
Surviving Economic Abuse is the only UK charity dedicated to raising awareness of economic abuse and transforming responses to it. Aiming to ensure all women and girls are economically equal and able to live their lives free of this abuse and exploitation, they focus on four priorities including, public education and awareness-raising; transforming professional responses; ensuring systems do not inadvertently facilitate economic abuse; and influencing policy.
A newly created role, the Head of Development will develop a strategic vision for the organisation's fundraising and be an effective member of SEA's Senior Leadership Team. Working across all income streams, you will develop existing fundraising strategies and explore new opportunities to diversify income generation. Line managing one and with the potential to grow the team, this is a key leadership position that will have a significant impact on the charity. Equally with exceptional income growth in the last few years, now is a great time to join and have creative freedom to improve and ensure sustainable fundraising methods for a much-needed organisation.
To be successful as the Head of Development you will have proven fundraising experience across a range of income streams including, trusts and foundations, corporate, individuals, events, and digital. You will be confident leading on fundraising strategy and be able to showcase previous experience in diversifying income generation. Proven experience of line managing others is also required and a commitment to the values and feminist ethos of SEA is essential.
