Prospectus is delighted to be working with Galapagos Conservation Trust (GCT) to recruit a Head of Finance who will take responsibility for the financial management and administration of a c£1m charity, which has ambitions to grow. Please note this role is offered on a part time basis (21 hours a week).
Galapagos Conservation Trust (GCT) is the only UK registered charity focussed solely on the conservation of one of the most unique and ecologically important, but vulnerable, areas in the world, the Galapagos Islands. With 25 years of experience, they partner with Ecuadorian authorities, NGOs, local communities and leading researchers both in Galapagos and the UK to support impactful conservation programmes and deliver community outreach across the Archipelago.
The overall purpose of this role is to deliver high quality financial management and planning for the CEO and Board of Trustees, be responsible to financial budgets and cash flow and support the fundraising team with programme budgeting. You will present the quarterly accounts, ensure day to day banking activities are undertaken, assist with smooth office management and supporting the charity governance.
To be successful as a Head of Finance you will have a proven track record in financial management, negotiating supplier contacts and managing office budgets. You will be able to deliver annual financial plans and three year rolling budgets in line with their agreed strategy. You will also oversee the HR function, so knowledge/experience of HR policies, handbooks and recruitment processes will be beneficial.
