Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with a literacy charity to recruit their new Head of Fundraising. This organisation believes that everyone should have the pleasure of reading and that being blind or partially sighted, dyslexic or unable to hold a book should not be barriers to the written word. With an amazing collection of over 11,000 titles and with the dedicated support of a team of volunteers they provide an extensive audiobook lending service to their members, with around 37,000 books being sent out each month!
It's an exciting time to join the charity as they progress with the development of a new and ambitious fundraising strategy which will see the introduction of new funding streams, enabling them to diversify their offer and reach to more members. The purpose of this charity is to change lives through reading, and there could not be a better time to join.
The Head of Fundraising will contribute to the new strategy and will manage a small and dedicated team of four fundraisers across the areas of legacy, trusts and grants. Key to creating a transformational programme of fundraising will be developing the areas of major giving, corporate partnerships, individual giving and creating a strong digital offer for members and supporters.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have significant fundraising experience and will be adept at developing and growing functions in order to increase income. Excellent leadership skills will be key as will a positive and 'can do' attitude!
