Job description

Prospectus are pleased to be partnering with The International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) to recruit a Head of Operations and Change. This role is being offered for a tenure of 1 year with a view to extend and can be based in The Hauge or the UK.

ICM is an accredited non-governmental organisation who supports, represents and works to strengthen professional associations of midwives throughout the world to achieve common goals in the care of mothers and newborns.

Approaching their 100th year anniversary, it is an exciting time to join the organisation as they embark on a journey of growth, development and sustainability.

As Head of Operations and Change, this role will have both strategic and operational oversight of finances, governance, events and HR matters together with operations functions within the organisation. Forming part of the senior leadership team, working closely with the chief executive, this role will look to formulate the operational business plan, addressing strategic priorities and the development and sustainability of ICM. Part of this role will also manage IT systems, management information, databases, systems and processes, ensuring that ICM have the most effecient systems for delivery in a global environment. As a change manager you will play a key role in the organisations development, creating and implementing change management strategies, policies and plans that maximise employee adoption.

The successful candidate will have previously worked in a similar role, managing operational functions, finance, resources and change management, with proven working experience at a strategic level. Experience of developing and delivering operational services and implementing strategic planning management frameworks in a complex, political and changing environment is paramount, as is knowledge of the use of information technology in the management of financial systems. You will possess significant experience applying change management principles, methodologies, and tools as well as have knowledge in leading innovation and transformational change, particularly in response to the demands of an organisation that is undergoing a significant growth.
