Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with KEEN London, a charity who believes no child should miss out on the benefits of fun and physical activity. Their team of volunteer 'coaches' provide one-to-one support at free weekly activity sessions for disabled children (their 'athletes'). At an exciting time and with ambitious plans in place, they are looking to recruit a Head of Services to lead the roll out of their new strategy which will allow them to reach more of the children who need them the most.
As Head of Services, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of all KEEN London's services, and your role will be key in leading the charity's operational delivery during an exciting period of change and growth. Working collaboratively with the Board of Trustees, you will help chart a course for the charity which is sustainable, able to withstand internal and external challenges and poised for future growth. Finally, you'll be passionate about taking a child-centered approach to ensure young people's perspectives and experiences are at the heart of the charity's development.
To be considered, first and foremost, you will have significant experience of having led teams in the delivery of high-quality, frontline services for children with disabilities. Your people management experience will have equipped you with the ability to create an environment in which people are encouraged to do their best and are rewarded for doing so and at the same time, you'll be able to deal with challenging situations and conversations. You will be equally comfortable in contributing to the development of a strategy as you will in 'hands on' team management. With a deep understanding of and experience in behaviour management strategies, your understanding of the challenges faced by the families of disabled children and young people is essential to enable the charity to continue to meet the needs of those who are using their services.
KEEN London are passionate about what they do and the difference they can make to the lives and opportunities for disabled children and young people. If you share the same passion for making a difference and share their values of always being inclusive; compassionate and supportive; committed to high standards; trustworthy; respectful; accountable and fun, then please initially submit your CV in Word format - suitable candidates will then be contacted and asked to complete a supporting statement.
