Our client is a London based charity who help homeless and vulnerable people to find decent homes, build supportive relationships and lead fulfilling lives. They are currently looking for a temporary Lead Worker for their Pan-London Safe Connections service; an innovative new service that support rough sleepers to find and keep accommodation in an area where they feel safe and have, or can build, support networks. This is offered as a temporary assignment for 2-3 months.
As their Lead Worker, you will be responsible for assessing clients who have been referred to the service to identify their most appropriate route off the streets and devising, sharing and overseeing a plan in order for them to achieve this. To ensure this is achieved, you will guide a team of Support Workers to assist clients in successfully accomplishing a sustainable life away from the streets. A senior member of staff for the service, you will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maximising housing options and support path-ways for service users on your caseload.
To be successful, you will have significant experience of support individuals with enduring and complex needs along with being passionate, highly motivated and committed to contributing to the reducing rough sleeping in London. The Safe Connections team takes referrals from London outreach teams and works closely with local authorities and housing providers to provide a rapid service to their clients, and as such you must have experience of working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team along with external agencies. Finally, the understanding of Homelessness and its impact on individuals is essential.
To be considered, you must be available to start immediately and be in possession of a fully enhanced DBS that is registered to the online update service.
